天地万物皆有生命，凡是有生命的动物，都是平等的，虽然有时为了生存而杀生，是万不得已的行为，我们要心存感恩，因为它们的牺牲，我们才得以延续生命。所以对天地万物要保持怜悯的心，并且不能太贪心，毕竟世上万物都有生存权，也不是用之不尽、取之不竭的，所以不要为了贪婪、暴利而杀鸡取卵、竭泽而渔，否则到头来受害的将是我们自己。
现在社会上有许多问题，其实那都是人类自己造成的，例如:流浪狗，很多人因心血来潮，一时兴起，觉得狗儿可爱，所以就买来饲养，结果发现照顾起来非常麻烦，因此就随意抛弃，造成街头、马路、或小巷都看得到流浪狗的踪迹，衍生许多流浪狗的问题。最近正在流行狂犬病，那么多的流浪狗在街上，让病毒有机可趁，随处散播，也因此让我们感染的机率变得更高，这难道不是人类自己自作自受、自食恶果吗?
人类经常为了一己私欲，而去豢养动物，却没考虑到自己的能耐，最后又随意放生、丢弃，造成生态平衡的破坏，例如:福寿螺一开始被引进是为了食用，但后来发现肉质不佳，有些不肖业者就随意放生，导致生态被严重破坏，福寿螺原本繁殖能力和适应力就比较强，再加上在又没有天敌，对它们来讲是如虎添翼，这里成了它们的快乐天堂;但对那先无辜的农民可就没那么幸运，栽种的作物屡屡遭到无情的破坏、啃食，农民们却望之兴叹、束手无策。所有的生物都是一环扣着一环的，世上万物都有属于适合它们的地方，要是随意更动，那后果可真是不堪设想，例如:小花蔓泽兰让树木纷纷死亡，原本上层食物链的生物和其它草食动物都跟着受影响，这不是一环扣着一环吗?生物炼的平衡是不容许破坏的，否则大自然将做最无情的反扑。
人类虽然是万物之首，但我们不能太自大，对于大自然我们还是要谦虚恭敬，因为在全宇宙人类其实是非常渺小的，现在那么多的天灾人祸，大多都是自己造成的，如果人们再不节制，那就不用等到和恐龙一样被陨石撞了，人类大概会先把自己害死，“天作孽，犹可违;自作孽，不可活。”因此，为了永续发展下去，我们必须要保护生态，保护其它动植物，也就保护我们自己，所有的生物才能共存共荣，我们的地球才能永远精采缤纷!
