赛龙舟，是一种传统的民间的活动，以顺德人为代表的珠三角人民尤其喜爱龙舟活动，可分为游龙（以漫游、观赏表演为主）和赛龙（比赛竞速为主）。由于龙江镇河流交错，山清水秀。正因为这样，今年当地政府值欢庆端午佳节之际，举办了龙舟竞渡。
记得那一天，我们一家人早早地来到龙江镇准备观赏龙舟，可谁也没有想到，江岸便早已挤满了人，到处周围人山人海，彩灯高悬，旌旗飘扬，呈现出一派喜气洋洋的节日气氛。五花八门的“蛟龙”在江面上“蓄势待发”，水手们精神抖擞，各自都舒展着优美的身姿……比赛即将开始了！
正午12点，比赛进入了倒计时，就要“放龙”了！“三、二、一，准备——”只见周围的观众紧张得流下了豆大的`汗珠。“啪啪……”随着鞭炮的响起，龙舟竞渡正式开始了！

谁知突然遇上风太大，竟然把领头的那条龙舟弄翻了，十几条紧跟在后面的船见到机会来了，马上超越他们了！正在危急之时，掉到水里的队员并没有惊慌失措，他们齐心协力地把沉船弄好。一次失败了，引得人们哈哈大笑，好一幅人与自然博斗的壮观图景啊！但队员没灰心，重头再来！船终于弄好了！队员们爬上船，奋起直追，永不放弃。
经过十几个回合拼搏，受过挫折的那条毅力坚强的龙舟，终于反超越了原来领先的那些船，抢先冲过了终点，闯进龙门，勇夺锦标啦！顿时两岸鞭炮齐鸣，锣鼓喧天，大家都欣喜若狂地喝彩着，为水手们的精彩表演欢呼着，呼喊着他们心中英雄的名字，热闹极了！
