Happiness is a state of mind. It starts with accepting where you are, knowing where you are going and planning to enjoy every moment along the way.

We’re Just Beginning

“We are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book whose pages are infinite…”

I do not know who wrote those words, but I have always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want to make it. We can take the mysterious, hazy future and carve out of it anything that we can imagine, just as a sculptor carves a statue from a shapeless stone.

We are all in the position of the farmer. If we plant a good seed, we reap a good harvest. If our seed is poor and full of weeds, we reap a useless crop. If we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all.

I want the future to be better than the past. I don’t want it contaminated by the mistakes and errors with which history is filled. We should all be concerned about the future because that is where we will spend the remainder of our lives.

The past is gone and static. Nothing we can do will change it. The future is before us and dynamic. Everything we do will affect it. Each day brings with it new frontiers, in our homes and in our business, if we only recognize them. We are just at the beginning of the progress in every field of human endeavor.

The future can be anything we want to make

I do not know who wrote those words, but I have always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want to make it.

We can take the mysterious, hazy future and carve out of it anything that we can imagine, just like a sculptor carves a statue from a shapeless stone.

We should all be concerned about the future because that is where we will spend the reminder of our lives.

The past is gone and static. Nothing we can do will change it. The future is before us and dynamic. Everything we do will effect it.

Each day will brings with it new frontiers, in our homes and in our businesses, if we will only recognize them. We are just at the beginning of the progress in every field of human endeavor.

Burning Your Soul Candle

I have a few candles stored in a drawer in my dining room. They’re meant for romantic dinners and special occasions, but since the arrival of our three children they have lain unnoticed among the napkins and other things. They are waiting to be taken out and lit to share their glow with anyone who will take the time to bask in their brilliance.

Are not our souls like those candles, patiently waiting for someone to come and let us be ourselves? We are all waiting for our own moments to shine; we each have a special light, unmatched by any other.

Candles are made up of wax and a wick; we have bodies, but our essence lies in our minds and souls. Candles are unique in their colors, shapes and designs. Our life histories and experiences are the backdrops of who we are, but our minds are like candle wicks, and make our passions flame. Unlike the candles in my drawer, who get used or not used depending on my whims, we control our own thoughts, and how brightly we will burn or dimly we will shine.

Is your soul candle dimmed by circumstance or lack of passion and direction? Is it hidden in a drawer of stress, worry or resentment? Make a choice to let yourself shine the way you were meant to shine.

It well that young men should begin at the beginning and occupy the most subordinate positions。 Many of the leading businessmen of Pittsburgh had a serious responsibility thrust upon them at the very threshold of their career。 They were introduced to the broom, and spent the first hours of their business lives sweeping out the office。 I notice we have janitors and janitresses now in offices, and our young men unfortunately ms that salutary branch of business education。 But if by chance the professional sweeper absent any morning, the boy who has the genius of the future partner in him will not hesitate to try h hand at the broom。 The other day a fond fashionable mother in Michigan asked a young man whether he had ever seen a lady sweep in a room so grandly as her Prcilla。 He said no, he never had ,and the mother was gratified beyond measure, but then said he ,after a pause, “What I should like to see her do sweep out a room” It does not hurt the newest er to sweep out the office if necessary. I was one of those sweepers myself。

Assuming that you have all obtained employment and are fairly started, my advice to you “aim high”。 I would not give a fig for the young man who does not already see himself the partner or the head of an important firm。 Do not rest content for a moment in your thoughts as head clerk, or foreman, or general manager in any concern, no matter how extensive。 Say to yourself ,“My place at the top。” Be king in your dreams。

And here the prime condition of success, the great secret: concentrate your energy, thought, and capital exclusively upon the business in which you are engaged。 Having begun in one line, resolve to fight it out on that line, to lead in it, adopt every improvement, have the best machinery, and know the most about it。

The concerns which fail are those which have scattered their capital, which means that they have scattered their brains also。 They have investments in th, or that, or the other, here there, and everywhere。 “Don't put all your eggs in one basket。” all wrong。 I tell you to “put all your eggs in one basket, and then watch that basket。” Look round you and take notice, men who do that not often fail。 It easy to watch and carry the one basket。 It trying to carry too many baskets, which break most eggs in th country。 He who carries three baskets must put one on h head, which apt to tumble and trip him up。 One fault of the American businessman lack of concentration。

To summarize what I have said: aim for the highest; never enter a bar room; do not touch liquor, or if at all only at meals; never speculate; never indorse beyond your surplus cash fund; make the firm's interest yours; break orders always to save owners; concentrate; put all your eggs in one basket, and watch that basket; expenditure always within revenue; lastly, be not impatient, for as Emerson says, “no one can cheat you out of ultimate success but yourselves。”

Youth is not a time of life; it is a state of mind; it is not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees; it is a matter of the will, a quality of the imagination, a vigor of the emotions; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life.

Youth means a tempera-mental predominance of courage over timidity, of the appetite for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20. Nobody grows old merely by a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals.

Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul.

Worry, fear, self-distrust bows the heart and turns the spring back to dust.

Youth is short and fleeting, but youth is most beautiful period of life,We are young, so we radical, we dare to try, and not hesitate to pursue our dreams. We are young,so we are confident, we never bow to the fate, those setbacks and frustrations. We are young ,so we are beautiful, we have the most charming and attractive faces.

This world does not necessarily have a happy ending, there is no lingering regret for youth! whether happy or unhappy , youth is used to miss! There is no right and wrong, only a touch of one’s mind! This is the best outcome.

As movie lines ofsaid, the horrors of growing up is to turn yourself into the look of the person you've ever disliked. The cost of growth is to lose some things, those things are the ones that you do not feel precious, but a few years later, when you have experienced a lot of things you would realize these will not appear again in your later life. But it does not matter, everyone's growth path is the case. Just cherish what you have now, because those are the youth, with tears, heartbreak in return. In the coming days, the memories of the past would warm your heart. I say ,youth is immortal, Happiness, or pain are both the evidence that witness your youth.

Life is very marvelous, the ability human knew about the nature has limitation, you never know what will happen next, especially when you

find yourself in a desperate. The road to success is full of variables, and perhaps success is only one kind of possibility. Perhaps, we pass through for a lifetime endeavor, arrives at the end of life, finally has not obtained successfully, but we did not regret, because of our efforts.

What we are supposed to do is to cherish what we have now, and learn to be thankful, and look ahead.fight for your dreams!
