Hi! It's your body here!

Allow me to reintroduce myself.

I'm the home that you've always lived in.

Surely you remember.

We grew up together!

And I'm writing in this letter cause,

I feel neglected in this relationship,

very disappointed in what I've been seeing.

With your ambition to make money

you sacrificed my well being,

which makes no sense in the least

because when I get sick

you sacrificed that same money

to recuperate ME.

And what's even more ironic

is with all your interest in profit

you can't even see the truth

that I'm worth over A BILLION DOLLARS.

Don't believe me?

Okay I'll prove it.

If someone came to you

with a check for One Million

and said “Here.

All I want in return is your eyesight.”

You will never be able to see another sunset

for the rest of your natural life.

Would you take that deal?

Ok, let's up the bid.

Suppose he had a check for Ten Million instead,

And if you accepted

you would no longer have use of your arms or legs.

Would you take THAT deal?

I can answer that for you.

NO.

NO。

Those are silly options because you know that

as your body I am worth over a BILLION DOLLARS.

And don't get me started with the heart.

If I was a company, right?

This Heart wouldn't get Employee of the Month.

It would get the Employee of the LIFE!

Because throughout your entire existence as a person,

your heart never stops working!

Even when you're sleeping

it doesn't stop beating,

that's EVERY SECOND

EVERY MINUTE

EVERY DAY

and come to think of it

I can't recall you ever saying Thanks.

Anyway I don't want this to come off as rude.

Just asking for a little attention here dude.

I know you try to make me look perfect

when you're Instagramming.

But we both know you been taking me for granted.

Consider this an opportunity.

After this video ends

don't click to the next one like you do usually.

Take some time by yourself.

Just, you and me.

Place your hand on your chest

and say “Thank You” to your heartbeat.

To your EYES, LEGS, ARMS.

To your hands that your use for climbing.

To your lungs that bring you breathe

without you even trying.

I do it all for you, cause you come first.

Cause you're my homie!

We go way back, don't we?

Like, birth?

I just think it's time

you start treating me what I'm worth.

二、The Snow Man 雪人

Of the pine-trees

crusted with snow

Of the January sun;

and not to think

And, nothing himself, beholds

Nothing that is not there

and the nothing that is

When we two parted

In silence and tears,

Half broken-hearted

To sever for years,

Pale grew thy cheek and cold,

Colder thy kiss;

Truly that hour foretold

Sorrow to this.

The dew of the morning

Sunk chill on my brow -

Of what I feel now.

Thy vows are all broken,

And light is thy fame:

I hear thy name spoken,

And share in its shame.

They name thee before me,

A knell to mine ear;

A shudder comes o'er me -

Why wert thou so dear?

They know not I knew thee,

Who knew thee too well: -

Long, long shall I rue thee,

Too deeply to tell.

In secret we met -

In silence I grieve,

That thy heart could forget,

Thy spirit deceive.

If I should meet thee

After long years,

How should I greet thee? -

With silence and tears.

I asked nothing, only stood at the edge

of the wood behind the tree.

Languor was still upon the eyes of the dawn,

and the dew in the air.

The lazy smell of the damp grass

hung in the thin mist above the earth.

Under the banyan tree

you were milking the cow with your hands,

tender and fresh as butter.

And I was standing still.

I did not come near you.

The sky woke with the sound

of the gong at the temple

The dust was raised in the road

from the hoofs of the driven cattle.

With the gurgling pitchers at their hips,

women came from the river.

Your bracelets were jingling,

and foam brimming over the jar.

The morning wore on

and I did not come near you.

Hello darkness, my old friend

I've come to talk with you again

Because a vision softly creeping

Left its seeds

while I was sleeping

And the vision

that was planted in my brain

Still remains

Within the sound of silence

In restless dreams

I walked alone

Narrow streets of cobblestone

Neath the halo of a street lamp

I turned my collar

to the cold and damp

When my eyes were stabbed

by the flash of a neon light

That split the night

And touched the sound of silence

And in the naked light I saw

Ten thousand people, maybe more

People talking without speaking

People hearing without listening

People writing songs

that voices never share

And no one dare

disturb the sound of silence

“Fools” said I, “You do not know

Silence like a cancer grows”

Hear my words

that I might teach you

Take my arms

that I might reach you

But my words like silent raindrops fell

And echoed in the wells of silence

And the people bowed and prayed

to the neon god they made

And the sign flashed out its warning

And the words that it was forming

And the sign said:

”The words of the prophets

are written on the subway walls

And tenement halls

And whispered in the sound of silence.“

Excellence is not an act, but a habit

Our character, basically, is a composite of our habits. “Sow a thought, reap an action; sow an action, reap a habit; sow a habit, reap a character; sow a character, reap a destiny,” the maxim goes.

Habits are powerful factors in our lives. Because they are consistent, often unconscious patterns, they constantly, daily, express our character and produce our effectiveness or ineffectiveness.

As Horace Mann, the great educator, once said, “habits are like a cable. We weave a strand of it every day and soon it cannot be broken.” I personally do not agree with the last part of his expression. I know habits can be learned and unlearned. But is also know it isn’t a quick fix. It involves a process and a tremendous commitment.

Those of us who watched the lunar voyage of Apollo 11 were transfixed as we saw the first men walk on the moon and return to earth. But to get there, those astronauts literally had to break out of the tremendous gravity pull of the earth. More energy was spent in the first few minutes of lift-off, in the first few miles of travel, than was used over the next several days to travel half a million miles.

Habits, too, have tremendous gravity pull- more than most people realize or would admit. Breaking deeply imbedded habitual tendencies such as procrastination, impatience, criticalness, or selfishness that violate basic principles of human effectiveness involves more than a little willpower and a few minor changes in our lives. “Lift off” takes a tremendous effort, but once we break out of the gravity pull, our freedom takes on a whole new dimension.

May Buddha let us meet

in my most beautiful hours,

I have prayed for it

for five hundred years.

Buddha made me a tree

By the path you may take.

In full blossoms

I'm waiting in the sun

Every flower

carrying my previous hope.

As you are near,

Listen carefully

The quivering leaves

are my waiting zeal,

As you pass by the tree

without noticing me.

My friend,

Upon the ground behind you

Is not the fallen petals

But my withered heart.

Wherever you are, and whoever you may be, there is one thing in which you and I are just alike at this monment, and in all the moments of our existence. We are not at rest, we are on a journey. Our life is a movement, a tendency, a steady, ceaseless progress towards an unseen goal.

We are gaining something, or losing something, or losing something, everyday. Even when our position and our character seem to remain precisely the same, they are changing. For the mereadvance of time is a change. It is not the same thing to have a bare field in January and in July. The season makes the difference. The limitations that are childlike in the child are childish in the man.

Everything that we do is a step in one direction or another. Even the failure to do something is in itself a deed. it sets us forward or backward. the action of the negative pole of a magnetic needle is just as real as the action of the positive pole. To decline is to accept--the other alternative.

Are you nearer to your port today than you were yesterday? yes, you must be a little nearer to some port or other for since your ship was first launched upon the sea of life, you have never been still for a single monment, the sea is too deep, you could not find an anchorage if you would, there can be no pause until you come into port.

The Happy Door

Happiness is like a pebble dropped into a pool to set in motion an ever-widening circle of ripples.

As Stevenson has said, being happy is a duty.

There is no exact definition of the word happiness.

Happy people are happy for all sorts of reasons.

The key is not wealth or physical well-being,

since we find beggars, invalids and so-called failures, who are extremely happy.

Being happy is a sort of unexpected dividend.

But staying happy is an accomplishment, a triumph of soul and character.

It is not selfish to strive for it.

It is, indeed, a duty to ourselves and others.

Being unhappy is like an infectious disease.

It causes people to shrink away from the sufferer.

He soon finds himself alone, miserable and embittered.

There is, however, a cure so simple as to seem,

at first glance, ridiculous; if you don't feel happy, pretend to be!

It works. Before long you will find that instead of repelling people, you attract them.

You discover how deeply rewarding it is to be the center of wider and wider circles of good will.

Then the make-believe becomes a reality.

You possess the secret of peace of mind, and can forget yourself in being of service to others.

Being happy, once it is realized as a duty and established as a habit,

opens doors into unimaginable gardens thronged with grateful friends.

A Wonderful Dialogue between God and a Child

Once upon a time there was a child ready to be born.

One day the child asked God, ”They tell me you are going to send me to earth tomorrow but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless? “

God replied, ”Among the many angels, I have chosen one for you. She will be waiting for you and will take care of you.“

”But,“ said the child, ”tell me here in Heaven I don't do anything else but sing and smile. That's what I need to be happy!“

God said, ”Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you every day. And you will feel your angel's love and be happy.“

”And,“ said the child, ”how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me, if I don't know the language that men talk?“

That's easy, said God, ”Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak.“

The child looked up at God saying, ”And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?“ God smiled at the child saying, ”Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray.“

The child said, ”I've heard on earth there are bad men. Who will protect me?“

God put his arm around the child, saying, ”Your angel will defend you--even if it means risking life!“

The child looked sad saying, ”But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore.“

God hugged the child, ”Your angel will always talk to you about me and will teach you the way to come back to me, even though I will always be next to you.“

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from earth could already be heard.

The child, in a hurry, asked softly, ”Oh, God, if I am about to leave now please tell me my angel's name! “

God replied, ”Your angle's name is of no importance…you will simply call her MOMMY! “

You're shut down and frightened, the world seems hostile; when you love what is, everything in the world becomes the beloved. Inside and outside always match -- they're reflections of each other. The world is the mirror image of your mind.

Not believing your own thoughts, you're free from the primal desire: the thought that reality should be different than it is. You realize the wordless, the unthinkable. You understand that any mystery is only what you yourself have created. In fact, there's no mystery. Everything is as clear as day. It's simple, because there really isn't anything. There's only the story appearing now. And not even that.

When you realize that you can only see the world as you believe it to be, you look from a newperspective. The world is an optical illusion. In the end, it's just you, crazed and miserable, or you, delighted and at peace. Everything happens for you, not to you.

I have questioned my thoughts, and I've seen that it's crazy to argue with what is. I don't ever want anything to happen except what's happening. For example, a man sticks a pistol into my stomach, pulls the hammer back, and says, ”I'm going to kill you.“ I am shocked that he is taking his thoughts so seriously. To someone identified as an I, the thought of killing causes guilt that leads to a life of suffering, so I ask him, as kindly as I can, not to do it.

I don't tell him that it's his suffering I'm thinking of. He says that he has to do it, and I understand; I remember believing that I had to do things in my old life. I thank him for doing the best he can, and I notice that I'm fascinated. Is this how she dies? Is this how the story ends? And as joy continues to fill me, I find it miraculous that the story is still going on. You can never know the ending, even as it ends. I am very moved at the sight of sky, clouds, andmoonlit trees. I love that I don't miss one moment, one breath, of this amazing life. I wait. And wait. And in the end, he doesn't pull the trigger. He doesn't do that to himself.

What we call ”bad“ and what we call ”good“ both come from the same place. The Tao Te Ching says that the source of everything is called ”darkness.“ What a beautiful name (if we must have a name)! Darkness is our source. In the end, it embraces everything. Its nature is love, and in our confusion we name it terror and ugliness, the unacceptable, the unbearable. All our stress results from what we imagine is in that darkness. We imagine darkness as separate from ourselves, and we project something terrible onto it. But in reality, the darkness is alwaysbenevolent.

Darkness is the mind that doesn't know a thing. This don't-know mind is the center of the universe -- it is the universe -- there's nothing outside it. And it's the gateway to all understanding. Once the darkness is understood, you're clear that nothing is separate from you. No name, no thought, can possibly be true in an ultimate sense. It's all provisional; it's all changing. The dark, the nameless, the unthinkable -- that is what you can absolutely trust. It doesn't change, and it's benevolent. When you realize this, you just have to laugh. There's nothing serious about life or death.

He was 11 years old and went fishing every chance he got from the dock at his family’s cabin on an island in the middle of a New Hampshire lake.

On the day before the bass season opened, he and his father were fishing early in the evening, catching sunfish and perch with worms. Then he tied on a small silver lure and practiced casting. The lure struck the water and caused colored ripples in the sunset, then silver ripples as the moon rose over the lake.

When his fishing rod doubled over, he knew something huge was on the other end. His father watched with admiration as the boy skillfully worked the fish alongside the dock.

Finally, he very gingerly lifted the exhausted fish from the water. It was the largest one he had ever seen, but it was a bass.

The boy and his father looked at the handsome fish, gills playing back and forth in the moonlight. The father lit a match and looked at his watch. It was 10 P.M.-- two hours before the season opened. He looked at the fish, then at the boy.

“You’ll have to put it back, son,” he said.

“Dad!” cried the boy.

“There will be other fish,” said his father.

“Not as big as this one,” cried the boy.

He looked around the lake. No other fishermen or boats were anywhere around in the moonlight. He looked again at his father. Even though no one had seen them, nor could anyone ever know what time he caught the fish, the boy could tell by the clarity of his father's voice that the decision was not negotiable. He slowly worked the hook out of the lip of the huge bass and lowered it into the black water.

The creature swished its powerful body and disappeared. The boy suspected that he would never again see such a great fish.

That was 34 years ago. Today, the boy is a successful architect in New York City. His father’s cabin is still there on the island in the middle of the lake. He takes his own son and daughters fishing from the same dock.

A friend walks in when the rest of the world walks out.

Sometimes in life, you find a special friend;

有时候在生活中,你会找到一个特别的朋友;

Someone who changes your life just by being part of it.

Someone who makes you laugh until you can't stop;

他会把你逗得开怀大笑;

Someone who makes you believe that there really is good in the world.

Someone who convinces you that there really is an unlocked door just waiting for you to open it.

This is Forever Friendship.

When you're down, and the world seems dark and empty, your forever friend lifts you up in spirits and makes that dark and empty world suddenly seem bright and full.

Your forever friend gets you through the hard times, the sad times, and the confused times.

If you turn and walk away, your forever friend follows.

If you lose your way, your forever friend guides you and cheers you on.

Your forever friend holds your hand and tells you that everything is going to be okay.

And if you find such a friend, you feel happy and complete, because you need not worry.

You have a forever friend for life, and forever has no end.

Advice to a Young Man

Remember

my son

you have to work.

Whether you handle a pick or a pen,

a wheel-barrow or a set of books,

digging ditches or editing a paper,

ringing an auction bell

or writing funny things,

you must work.

If you look around

you will see the men

who are the most able

to live the rest of their days without work

are the men who work the hardest.

Don't be afraid of killing yourself

with overwork.

It is beyond your power to do that

on the sunny side of thirty.

They die sometimes,

but it is because

they quit work

at six in the evening,

and do not go home

until two in the morning.

It’s the interval that kills, my son.

The work gives you

an appetite for your meals;

it lends solidity to your slumbers,

it gives you a perfect

and grateful appreciation

of a holiday.

There are young men who do not work,

but the world is not proud of them.

It does not know their names,

even it simply speaks of them

as “old So-and-So’s boy”.

Nobody likes them,

the great, busy world

doesn’t know that they are there.

So find out what you want to be and do,

and take off your coat

and make a dust in the world.

The busier you are,

the less harm you will be apt to get into,

the sweeter will be your sleep,

the brighter and happier your holidays,

and the better satisfied

will the world be with you.

The team I work in

just had 2 new interns,

and I happen

to be their supervisor.

After today's lunch break,

I saw that one of them

was reading things

on her smartphone,

maybe on some social network,

I guessed.

I went to her and said

”There's another document here

needing translation.

Do you have time

to finish it for me?“

That document

was not in her

assigned workload.

But I thought

I could let her challenge herself

a little bit with it,

seeing that

she seemed to have time.

”Yes, I do have time.“

She said,

”But I'm just an intern.“

I didn't quite know

what to say back then.

After a while I mumbled

”Right.Yes.“

And I turned around and left.

I recalled the time

when I was an intern

for the first time.

I, too, managed to finish

my workload so fast,

just likeher.

So I asked my supervisor

”Is thereanything else

that I can help?“

And she happened to

have a plan to make.

But she didn't have time.

So she let me do the research

and make a draft for her.

I was not very familiar

with the job

but still tried to carry it out

based on my understanding

and make it

as professional as possible.

And my supervisor

was really satisfied

with the draft.

Later, she told me

”You saved me a lot of time.

I didn't need to

create it from scratch.“

And she told me in details

how should I have

done the plan differently.

I learned a lot

about the operation

in the process.

After that

she had come to

trust me like completely.

I got my current job

all because

of her recommendation.

Yes, I was just an intern

with a low salary.

But I bought a better future

with my extra labor.

There's a kind of poverty

called short-sightedness.

HOW DO I LOVE THEE

How do I love thee?

Let me count the ways.

I love thee to the depth

and breadth and height

My soul can reach,

when feeling out of sight

For the ends of Being

and ideal Grace.

I love thee

to the level of everyday's

Most quiet need,

by sun and candlelight.

I love thee freely,

as men strive for Right;

I love thee purely,

as they turn from Praise.

I love thee

with the passion put to use

In my old griefs,

and with my childhood's faith.

I love thee with a love

I seemed to lose

With my lost saints,--

I love thee with the breath,

Smiles, tears, of all my life!

--and, if God choose,

I shall but love thee

better after death.

爱你,就象男子们为正义而斗争;

以满怀热情,就象往日满腔的辛酸;

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.

I love thee to the depth and breadth and height

My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight

For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.

I love thee to the level of everyday's

Most quiet need, by sun and candlelight.

I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;

I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.

I love thee with the passion put to use

In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.

I love thee with a love I seemed to lose

With my lost saints,--I love thee with the breath,

Smiles, tears, of all my life!--and, if God choose,

I shall but love thee better after death.

The Power of Smile

As time goes by, people are being busier and busier with working. In this circumstance, people forget our most excellent skill--smile.

There are a great many kinds of power of smile. First of all, common touch can be showed by a kind smile. Imagine that you go to a company to attend an audition. With a confident smile, you are more likely to answer the question better. Furthermore, smile can eliminate angry. As a philosopher said, smile before you begin to get angry. The last but not the least, it reflects calm of a person when he is in danger or in trouble.

The beneficial aspects cannot be stated completely in this passage. But you can understand its power when you smile.

Be Grateful to Our Parents

Last week our music teacher taught us a song, named Indebted Heart. Through it I know that we should live with a thankful heart. At that time, I think of my parents. I think they are the first people I should thank. It’s them who give me life. It’s them who give me home. It’s them who bring me up. It’s them who look after me. It’s them who teach me knowledge and live happily. I should thank my parents giving me so much. Maybe I should think how to pay back the love my parents give me. But now I think the best way to be appreciated of my parents is to study well and then being a useful person to the society when I grow up.

The Importance of Self-confidence

Currently, self-confidence has become the order of our life, which improves the theory that nothing is more valuable than self-confidence.

It is obvious that self-confidence means trust in one’s ability. If we are full of self-confidence, we’ll have creative power to live and work, helping us success or dreams come true. On the contrary, if we have no confidence in ourselves, there will be little possibilities for us to win. We’ll always face failure.

What’s more, no one can deny another fact that self-confidence gives us light when we walk in the dark and courage when we face stumbling blocks. With self-confidence, we can achieve goals in our life.

Friendship

There are various emotions in the world. People need valuable emotions which can support them both in mind and in life. Friendship is one of the most vital emotions.

It is not easy to deal with friendship. As for friendship, sometimes you and your friend may meet difficulties. Trust is the most remarkable trait of forever friendship. Trust plays a very important role in daily communication. As the saying goes, “Between friends all is common.” Furthermore, tolerance is also a considerable factor in remaining good friendship. If your friend makes a mistake accidentally, you should have largeness of mind. Friendship is too precious. When we face some misunderstandings, we need to make joint efforts to protect our friendship. We should not give up friendship at random. We should treat our friends as treasures.

Friendship is so pure, clear and beautiful. We cannot be lack of friendship in our life. Try our best to insist our trust in making friends.

Saving Our Earth

It is very important to deal with the rubbish in cities. For one thing, rubbish may cause a lot of pollution. It may pollute the air, the water and the places we live in. For another, it may do harm to people's health.

So in our city, rubbish is well dealt with. First, it is sorted. Then old newspapers and glass are recycled. The harmful wastes are buried and the waste water is cleaned before it goes into the river. The government has already made laws against pollution caused by rubbish.

But that's not enough. We must all try our. best to prevent rubbish from polluting the environment so as to. save our city and our living place.

Failure and Success

Failure is so common in our life. No one can avoid it. When we fail in doing something, we often feel so depressed that we have no interest in other things. Sometimes failure can also make us lose heart. Therefore, no one wants to be a failure.

Success is what we all hope for, because it can bring us a sense of pride and a good reputation. The moment we succeed, we always feel so proud, as if having everything in our hands. If one enjoys his continuous success in his career, he will be famous and worshiped by others.

However, failure is the mother of success. One failure doesn’t mean you can never be successful. It depends on what we do to deal with failure. Those who are always afraid of failure and can’t go through it will never win. But as long as we can get some lessons and experience from our failure, we’ll be sure to succeed.

Cherish Time

If you ask me what is the most precious, I would say that it’s time. Time is something once lost, you could never have again. Therefore, we should cherish it and spend it in meaningful things. However, many people do too many meaningless things to kill their time, such as playing computer, watching TV, or gossiping. When you do these things, the time has long been unwittingly flowed away. In my opinion, the best way to make full use of time is planning your time rationally and sticking the plan firmly. Spending more time on something significant not only will make your life fulfilling, but also will give you a sense of accomplishment. Instead, killing your time with meaningless things would bring you depression even despair. Remember that those who abandon time will be also abandoned by time.

There are moments in life when you miss someone so much that you just want to pick them from your dreams and hug them for real!

When the door of happiness closes, another opens, but often times we look so long at the closed door that we don't see the one which has been opened for us.

Don't go for looks; they can deceive. Don't go for wealth; even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright. Find the one that makes your heart smile.

Dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go; be what you want to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want to do.

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, enough hope to make you happy.

The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.

Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss and ends with a tear.

The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past, you can't go on well in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.

When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.

“…I was rich, if not in money, in sunny hours and summer days.”----- Henry David Thoreau.

When Thoreau wrote that line, he was thinking of the Walden. Pond he knew as a boy.

Woodchoppers and the Iron Horse had not yet greatly damaged the beauty of its setting. A boy could go to the pond and lie on his back against the seat of a boat, lazily drifting from shore to shore while the loons dived and the swallows dipped around him. Thoreau loved to recall such sunny hours and summer days “when idleness was the most attractive and productive business.”

I too was a boy in love with a pond, rich in sunny hours and summer days. Sun and summer are still what they always were, but the boy and the pond changed. The boy, who is now a man, no longer find much time for idle drifting. The pond has been annexed by a great city. The swamps where herons once hunted are now drained and filled with houses. The bay where water lilies quietly floated is now a harbor for motor boats. In short, everything that the boy loved no longer exists----except in the man's memory of it.

Some people insist that only today and tomorrow matter. But how much poorer we would be if we really lived by that rule! So much of what we do today is frivolous and futile and soon forgotten. So much of what we hope to do tomorrow never happens.

The past is the bank in which we store our most valuable possession: the memories that give meaning and depth to our lives.

Those who truly treasure the past will not bemoan the passing of the good old days, because days enshrined in memory are never lost. Death itself is powerless to still a remembered voice or erase a remembered smile. And for one boy who is now a man, there is a pond which neither time nor tide can change, where he can still spend a quite hour in the sun.

Facing the Sea With Spring Blossoms—HaiZi

From tomorrow on,I will be a happy man.

Grooming, chopping and traveling all over the world.

The day that you see me old

Dear son……

The day that you see me old-当我日渐老去的时候The day that you see me oldand I am already not, have patience and try to understand me …

If I get dirty when eating… if I cannot dress… have patience.

Remember the hours I spent teaching it to you.

If, when I speak to you, I repeat the same things thousand and one

times… do not interrupt me… listen to me

When you were small, I had to read to you thousand and one times the same story until you get to sleep… When I do not want to have a shower, neither shame me nor scold me…

Remember when I had to chase you with thousand excuses I invented, in order that you wanted to bath…When you see my on new technologies… give me the necessary time and not look at me with your mockingsmile…

I taught you how to do so many things… to eat well, to dress well… to confront life…

When at some moment I lose the memory or the thread of our conversation… let me have the necessarytime to remember… and if I cannot do it;do not become nervous… as the most important thing is not myconversation but surely to be with you and to have you listening to me…

If ever I do not want to eat, do not force me. I know well when I need to and when not.

When my tired legs do not allow me walk… give me your hand… the same way I did when you gave your firststeps.

And when someday I say to you that I do not want to live any more…

that I want to die… do not get angry… some day you will understand…

Try to understand that my age is not lived but survived.

Some day you will discover that, despite my mistakes, I always wanted

the best thing for you and that I tried to prepare the way for you.

You must not feel sad, angry or impotent for seeing me near you. You must be next to me, try to understandme and to help me as I did it when you started living. Help me to walk… help me to end my way with love andpatience. I will

pay you by a smile and by the immense love I have had always for you.

I love you son…

Let Us Laugh

The thing that goes the farthest toward making life worthwhile, that costs the least and does the most, is just a pleasant smile.

The smile that bubbles from the heart that loves its fellow men, will drive away the clouds of gloom and coax the Sun again.

It's full of worth and goodness, too, with manly kindness blent; it's worth a million dollars, and it doesn't cost a cent.

There is no room for sadness when we see a cheery smile; It always has the same good look; it's never out of style; It nerves us on to try again when failure makes us blue;

当我们看到喜悦的微笑,忧伤就会一扫而光;它始终面容姣好,永不落伍;失败令我们沮丧之时,它鼓励我们再次尝试;

The dimples of encouragement are good for me and you.It pays the highest interest - for it is merely lent;

鼓励的笑靥于你我大有裨益。它支付的利息高昂无比──只因它是种借贷形式;

It's worth a million dollars, and it doesn't cost a cent.

A smile comes very easy - you can wrinkle up with cheer. A hundred times before you can squeeze out a salty tear. It ripples out, moreover, to the heartstrings that will tug, and always leaves an echo that is very like a hug.

So, smile away! Folks understand what by a smile is meant. It's worth a million dollars, and it doesn't cost a cent.

Slience

An empty head or a blank mind which leads to speechlessness--that is silence.

Enthusiasm fades like dying embers and thus leads to cynicism and indifference to life, which arouses neither happiness nor sadness, neither worries nor anger, and which costs people their interest in and desire for anything--that is silence.

Despite all the experiences of love and hate, of disorientation and reorientation, of order-giving that was answered by hundreds and call-issuing that was not answered by a single soul, there is not a word uttered, but only a clam eye that watches on this world--that is also silence.

Worries and sufferings, tastes of changes and vicissitudes of the world, footprints left in mountains and valleys and noises of rivers and oceans cherished in the heart are all but hidden unrevealed--that is still silence.

Either an invaluable Italian violin or a reed whistle cut out casually would remain silent if they are not played, although the connotations of their silences differ greatly. For even though they are never touched by anybody, you can still imagine the vastly different sounds they can possibly produce.

A flawless jade ornament, or a coarse, gross brick will always remain silent if it is left untouched, but who can draw an equal sign between them?

Indeed, for a living being there is no such thing as true silence, for silence itself is a revelation of the mind and the heart, an echo of the soul of a different form.

Some people use silence as a disguise of the emptiness of the head.

Some use it as a means to depict their disorientation and melancholy.

And some use it as a way of expressing their angers and sorrows.

Silence usually is ephemeral. It reminds one of the bronze bells dangling from a pagoda's eaves; on windless days they are a decoration upon the age-weathered beauty, but with wind they give out wonderful tinkling and jingling metallurgic sounds, as if echoing age-old stories of long, long ago...

Do you not think the same of silent people?

They say that ”silence is golden“, but of what nature is this ”gold“? It can include integrity, honesty and kindness; it can stand for indifference to and detachment from fame and fortune; but it can also act as an excuse for hypocrisy, slyness and cowardice... the glittering of gold may not necessarily be the most brilliant lustre in the world.

Can it be that permanent silence is only represented by death?

Perhaps even death cannot represent true silence, for the carrier of the soul can turn into dust, so that the sincere and wise voices from the bottom of the heart will trigger long-lasting echoes in the seas of human hearts...

(一)Never give up永不放弃

Never give up, Never lose hope.

Always have faith, It allows you to cope.

Trying times will pass, As they always do.

Just have patience, Your dreams will come true.

So put on a smile, You'll live through your pain.

Know it will pass, And strength you will gain

A Grain of Sand

William Blake/

To see a world in a grain of sand,

And a heaven in a wild fllower,

Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,

And eternity in an hour.

Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening

By Robert Frost

Whose woods these are I think I know.

His house is in the village though;

He will not see me stopping here

To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer

To stop without a farmhouse near

Between the woods and frozen lake

The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake

To ask if there is some mistake.

The only other sound's the sweep

Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep.

But I have promises to keep,

And miles to go before I sleep,

And miles to go before I sleep.

他的家虽在那边乡村;

(四)ALWAYS HAVE A DREAM 总是有一个梦想

Forget about the days when it's been cloudy. But don't forget your hours in the sun.

Forget about the times you have been defeated. But don't forget the victories you have won.

Forget about the misfortunes you have encountered. But don't forget the times your luck has turned.

Forget about the days when you have been lonely. But don't forget the friendly smiles you have seen.

Forget about the plans that didn't seem to work out right. But don't forget to always have a dream.

In April,

Come he will, 它就来了,

In May, 五月里,

Sing all day, 整天吟唱多逍遥,

In June,

Change his tune,

In July,

Prepare to fly,

In August,

Go he must!

(六)oats Sail On The Rivers

Boats sail on the rivers,

And ships sail on the seas;

But clouds that sail across the sky,

Are prettier far than these.

There are bridges on the rivers,

As pretty as you please; 如你所愿的那么悦目;

But the bow that bridges heaven,

And overtops the trees,

And builds a road from earth to sky,

Is prettier far than these.

Hold fast to dreams

For if dreams die

Life is a broken-winged bird

That can never fly.

Hold fast to dreams

For when dreams go 梦想若是消丧

Life is a barren field

Frozen only with snow
