1. 动笔之前，认真审题
《中考考试说明》指出，书面表达要切中题意。怎样才能切中题意？就是要认真审题，看到考题后，先不要急于动笔，要仔细看清题目要求的内容。在自己的头脑中构思出一个框架或画面，确定短文的中心思想，不要匆匆下笔，看懂题意，根据图画、图表、提纲或短文提供的资料和信息来审题。审题要审格式、体裁、人物关系、故事情节、主体时态、活动时间、地点等。
2. 围绕中心，拟定提纲
书面表达评分原则有四条：
（1）内容要点；
（2）运用词汇和结构的数量；
（3）运用语法结构和词汇的准确性；
（4）上下文的连贯性。
由此可见，要点是给分的一个重要因素。为了防止写作过程中遗漏要点，同学们要充分发挥自己的观察力，把情景中给出的各个要点逐条列出。根据短文的中心思想考虑如何开头、展开和结尾，设想几个承上启下的连词，将主要句型、关键词语草草记下，形成提纲，写时切忌结构分散，废话连篇，严重跑题。书面表达，内容广泛，题材多样，要弄清考题的要求是写人、叙事、介绍、评论、图表、书信、日记、通知、便条还是看图作文或改写缩写。如果是日记，要写清年、月、日和天气情况；如果是书信，则要注意书信的格式，注意短文字数不要低于或超过规定的字数太多。
3. 语言通顺，表达准确
(1) 避免使用汉语式英语，尽量使用自己熟悉的句型。几种句型可交替使用，以避免重复和呆板。
(2) 多用简单句型，记事、写人一般都不需要复杂的句型。可适当多使用陈述句、一般疑问句、祈使句和感叹句。不用或少用非谓语或情态动词等较复杂的句型。
(3)注意语法、句法知识的灵活运用。
1) 语态、时态要准确无误。
2) 主谓语要一致，主语的人称和数要和谓语一致。
3) 注意人称代词的宾格形式。
4) 注意冠词用法，例如： He is an honest student.中的an不能写成a。

复习中切忌“老牛赶山”到哪算哪，心中应有一个明确的框架，做到既全面又有重点。这一框架是建立在英语学习目标的基础上，这个框架就是语言的知识和语言的意义相结合。初中英语学习是打基础的阶段，学生必须牢固掌握语音、词汇、语法等基础知识，但是仅仅掌握基础知识是不够的，重要的是对这些基础知识的综合应用。在牢固掌握语言知识的基础上建立的综合运用能力，学生才能顺应考试的趋势，只要在《初中英语课程标准》的范围内，不管考试的方法、题型是什么，学生都能得心应手，因此，在复习过程中，不管老师还是学生，都应该做到基础知识和综合运用的结合，也就是语言的形式和意义的结合。
一、复习课文和复习语法相结合
虽然近几年中考命题淡化语法，但是为了在升学考试中取得好成绩，有些老师和学生还是把目光盯住语法和知识点，他们认为考试的题目全是语言点，也就没有必要复习学过的课文，这种复习方法是违背语言学习的正常途径的，并且有可能遗漏复习内容，收不到预期的效果。其实复习课文和复习语法是相辅相成的，在复习课文内容的过程中可以加深对词组、短语和语法点的理解，巩固其运用。通过对课文的复习，能进一步搞清句子的结构，有利于对语法的理解和运用。反过来，如果能在复习语法结构时能以课文内容作为句子结构的载体，就能巩固对句法的掌握，提高运用这些规则的准确率，同时又能使学生加深对课文的理解，提高阅读理解能力。这样在有生命力的句子上复习语言的形式，在语言的形式上创作有生命力的句子，从而提高学生的综合运用能力。
二、语言知识和语言实践相结合

单词
其实英语的学习历来都把单词的学习作为重点，初中也不例外。我们一定要记住，单词记忆切忌孤立地，单纯地背诵单词。我们中学最习惯的背诵方法就是背拼写，比如what这个单词我们一般都是这么背what what，这样只是记住了几个孤立的字母而并没有记住单词，过不了几天就会把这个单词忘掉。那么我们就要把单词放在一个整体或者环境中背诵，比如我们不如记住下面一句话：What is your name?(你的名字叫什么)那么就不容易忘掉了。也就是说每记一个单词都要相应地记住用这个单词在内的一个例句，因为单词的意思只能在句子中体现，有意思我们才不容易忘掉，而孤立的无意思的不容易记住。另外记忆单词要利用一切可能的办法去记住，比如分类记忆：我们把动物的有关词汇放在一起，把有关校园的有关词汇放在一起，或者天文，地理，等等。当然我们也可以利用谐音的方法自己编写些小段子记住单词。
语法
初中是开始学习系统语法知识的重要阶段。这阶段语法学习好了，以后语法就会感到很轻松。首先应该明确是初中的时候我们学习的更多的是词法而不是句法，因为毕竟从简单开始吧，就算是中考题也基本上没有多少句法的题，所以初中一定要把重心放在词法上，就是名词，介词，冠词，代词，形容词等上面，而这些东西是最零碎的也是最头疼的，我们就更要有细心和耐心。建议每学习一个语法点，在学校教室里抄过一遍笔记后，回家静下心来，再重新整理一遍笔记，去粗取精，这其实是回顾温习的过程，并且要做好分类，不同重要程度的或者难易程度的要用不同的颜色区别对待，并时常翻阅。此外课堂上的语法知识往往和教材同步而并不系统，我们还可以再有一本语法书籍，甚至可以买高中语法，这样有知识的拓展。

One of the recurring themes from last year's earthquake in Sichuan is official corruption and the extent it contributed to the collapse of substandard schools, killing a still unknown number of children. Another, less discussed issue, is the degree to which many local officials in the disaster zone were victims themselves.
