在我看来，英语写作，下笔即有益，也就是说，只要你动笔了，总能有收获。当你认为没什么可写的时候，往往是因为你并没有真正下定决心去写。
如果你真的觉得找不到东西可写的话，可以试试下面的方法。
1、写日记
用英语写日记，最大的好处就是能够加深你对常见词汇和句型的印象，不至于在考试的时候无从下笔，甚至连基本的单词也会拼写错误。
既然是日记，当然不要求你写得文采斐然。这是一个循序渐进的过程。刚开始你可以写一些很简单的句子，然后逐渐深入，写一些有技术含量的长句。
当你真的动手去写，你会发现，其实你能写的有很多。
比如，你的一日三餐(breakfast, lunch and dinner);你喜欢的运动(basketball, football, or badminton);你身边的人(parents, friends, or teachers)等等。
2、写读书笔记
你看完一本书或是一篇优美的文章，不想写点什么吗?这时候，你可以用英语写出来。
当然，这有一定的难度，但是为什么不去试试呢?日记可以天马行空，读书笔记受到内容的约束，需要在特定的范围内发挥。你可以做人物分析，也可以用自己的话把故事情节复述一遍。
你看到一段优美的英文，不想摘抄下来吗?说不定，那一句就可以用在考试作文中，让整篇作文顿时出彩不少。
3、写电影观后感
你看完一部好莱坞大片，心潮澎湃，久久不能平静;又或是看了一部温情电影，倍受感动，你完全可以试着用英文把你的感受写出来，或者把情节简单复述一遍。
另外，你平时在看英文电影或电视剧的时候，也可以把里面一些精彩的对话抄下来，可以进行分析，也可以仅仅是欣赏，都行。
三、写作中注意哪些问题，能让你事半功倍?
英语写作是一件下笔即有益的事情，但如果注意下面几个问题，能让你收获更多。
1、背单词不如用单词
在我看来，记一个单词的做好方法是使用它，掌握一个单词的最高境界就是会使用它。
你今天记了一个生单词，完全可以把它写进你的文章里。只有把它写进句子里，这个单词才能为你所用。或许在你原来的构思中，你并不需要用到这个单词，但你可以刻意想个句子，把单词用上去。
单词记下来而不会用，那么这个单词并没有发挥最大的价值。背单词的意义不仅仅是有助于你阅读，更要能够出现在你的文章中。
2、记语法不如用语法
很多同学听到语法是既怕又恨。说实话，我也讨厌语法。我的大学老师曾经说过，在国外，学生是不学语法的。你们语文老师教过你们中文语法吗?
语法是为了帮助非母语的学生学习英语而创造的方法。很多时候，老师过分强调了语法的重要性，导致学生忽视了语言本身的魅力。
语法当然重要，而且相当复杂，存在很多的特殊情况。比如我们很早就知道，一个句子中主句只能出现一个动词，但是你也可以见到“I do hope you will stay for dinner with me”这样的句子。原来，“do”在表示强调的时候，可以和其他动词搭配使用。
这只是一个简单的例子。如此众多且复杂的语法记得住吗?其实，借鉴我们学习中文的方法，只要用得多了，也就掌握了。
3、好的句子据为己有
兴趣是最好的老师。学好一门语言最好的办法，就是喜欢上这门语言。兴趣是可以培养的，比如你在浏览网页，看书看杂志，看电影时看到一些优美的句子，把它摘抄下来，记在本子上。能够做到这一步，你已经很不错了。当然，你还可以做得更好。
你可以有意识地把这些优美的句子用在你的文章中，你虽然写不出好句子，但你完全可以把你所看到的好句子收为己用。只有你平时使用过，在考试的时候你才能恰到好处地用上平时积累的句子。
4、规定字数
如果你认为考试的时候，150个单词对于你来说很有挑战性，那么你平时就可以针对文章单词的数量进行训练。比如，你在写日记的时候，规定每篇文章不低于200个单词，哪怕你记流水账，也要逼自己写满200个单词。
如果按照每句话10个单词来计算，也就是说只要写20句话就可以了。这对于很多同学来说，并不是难事，只要你去写。
