Whether it will become a force for good or ill depends on man, and only if the United States occupies a position of pre-eminence can we help decide whether this new ocean will be a sea of peace or a new terrifying theater of war. I do not say that we should or will go unprotected against the hostile misuse of space any more than we go unprotected against the hostile use of land or sea, but I do say that space can be explored and mastered without feeding the fires of war, without repeating the mistakes that man has made in extending his writ around this globe of ours.

There is no strife, no prejudice, no national conflict in outer space as yet. Its hazards are hostile to us all. Its conquest deserves the best of all mankind, and its opportunity for peaceful cooperation many never come again. But why, some say, the moon? Why choose this as our goal? And they may well ask why climb the highest mountain? Why, 35 years ago, fly the Atlantic? Why does Rice play Texas?

We choose to go to the moon. We choose to go to the moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard, because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one which we intend to win, and the others, too.

It is for these reasons that I regard the decision last year to shift our efforts in space from low to high gear as among the most important decisions that will be made during my incumbency in the office of the Presidency.

In the last 24 hours we have seen facilities now being created for the greatest and most complex exploration in man's history. We have felt the ground shake and the air shattered by the testing of a Saturn C-1 booster rocket, many times as powerful as the Atlas which launched John Glenn, generating power equivalent to 10,000 automobiles with their accelerators on the floor. We have seen the site where five F-1 rocket engines, each one as powerful as all eight engines of the Saturn combined, will be clustered together to make the advanced Saturn missile, assembled in a new building to be built at Cape Canaveral as tall as a 48 story structure, as wide as a city block, and as long as two lengths of this field.

Within these last 19 months at least 45 satellites have circled the earth. Some 40 of them were made in the United States of America and they were far more sophisticated and supplied far more knowledge to the people of the world than those of the Soviet Union.

The Mariner spacecraft now on its way to Venus is the most intricate instrument in the history of space science. The accuracy of that shot is comparable to firing a missile from Cape Canaveral and dropping it in this stadium between the 40-yard lines.

Transit satellites are helping our ships at sea to steer a safer course. Tiros satellites have given us unprecedented warnings of hurricanes and storms, and will do the same for forest fires and icebergs.

We have had our failures, but so have others, even if they do not admit them. And they may be less public.

so if you picture the typical classroom nowadays: when i was going to school, we sat in rows. we sat in rows of desks like this, and we did most of our work pretty autonomously. but nowadays, your typical classroom has pods of desks -- four or five or six or seven kids all facing each other. and kids are working in countless group assignments. even in subjects like math and creative writing, which you think would depend on solo flights of thought, kids are now expected to act as committee members. and for the kids who prefer to go off by themselves or just to work alone, those kids are seen as outliers often or, worse, as problem cases. and the vast majority of teachers reports believing that the ideal student is an extrovert as opposed to an introvert, even though introverts actually get better grades and are more knowledgeable, according to research.

开封灌汤包原为宋朝皇家御用美食,流传至今已有百年历史,它风味独特,是开封名的美食之一。开封灌汤包不仅味道鲜美,而且制作方法也很简单。首先,将猪肉绞成馅,放入盆内,再加入酱油、料酒、姜末、味精、盐搅拌。接下来和面,将面揉的不软不硬,光滑不粘手。然后,待面发开后,切成一个个的面剂,开始擀皮。擀皮是很有讲究的,擀好的面皮周围要薄一些,中间略厚一点。这样,汤包既能皮薄如纸,又不会破馅。万事具备,就开始包包子了!这一步很关键,不仅要掌握好肉馅的比例,而且还要在包子里加入些已经冻好的肉冻。正宗的开封灌汤包的包子皮上要捏制30道绉折,并且要求纤巧匀称。搁在白瓷盘上看,就像一朵朵丰满圆润、千瓣紧裹、含苞欲开的白菊。最后一步,就是上笼蒸制了,蒸大约10分钟就可以出锅了!

羊肉泡馍不仅色香味形俱全,历史也很悠久,也许是因为它是古城西安的.名吃吧。羊肉泡馍早在周朝就有了,这时叫做羊羹。关于它还有一个有趣的传说。相传,宋太祖赵匡胤未得志时生活贫困,流落长安街头。一天,他身上只剩下两块干馍,十分干硬无法下咽。一位好心的羊肉铺店主看他可怜就给了他一碗滚烫的羊肉汤。赵匡胤将干馍掰碎吃了起来,吃得浑身发热,饥寒全消,后来他当上了皇帝,这一美食就出了名。

烩面的味道好不好,取决于它的汤、面和辅料,汤用上等嫩羊肉、羊骨一起煮五个小时以上,先用大火猛滚再用小火煲,骨头油熬出来了,煲出来的汤白白亮亮,犹如牛乳一样,所以又有人叫白汤。

面则是用优质高筋白面粉,兑以温开水和成很软的面团,反复揉搓,使其筋韧,放置一段时间,再擀成四指宽,二十公分长的面片,外边抹上植物油,一片片码好,用塑料纸覆上备用,等要吃的时候,就把它拉成面条,这样吃起来才会有口感。

在水产品中,不但有动物,还有植物,这是菱角。菱角外面有一层黑不啦叽的壳,样子就像老牛头上的一对角,角尖上长刺,如果你拿的时候不小心,还会被刺伤。虽然它外面长得不好看,但只要你把它剖开,里面就会落出白生生的肉来。它可以蒸吃,也可以当菜炒吃。蒸的时候,最好用沙木蒸笼,蒸一个多小时后,开盖就是香味。我们这里,一到夏天,大街上是卖菱角的,“卖菱角啦,沙木蒸笼蒸的菱角”的叫卖声,离很远听得见。有时候家里图方便,会直接去了壳,放上辣椒用猛火炒,绿色的辣椒衬托雪白的菱角肉,又好看又好吃。

去年,一部纪录片《舌尖上的中国》红遍大江南北,很多观众沉醉于中华美食的独特魅力,甚至直呼“口水止不住”。然而面对生活中舌尖上的安全问题,人们又不禁感叹:荧屏上佳肴令人回味无穷,现实中问题食品却让人心惊肉跳。近几年来,三鹿“毒奶粉”事件刚刚平息,“苏丹红”、“病虫桔”事件又被揭穿,“瘦肉精”、“毒豆芽”一波又一波轮番上演。“民以食为天,食以安为先”。如果我们每一天对着餐桌上摆着的美味佳肴就想着吃起来是不是令人放心,那就太悲哀了。老百姓的饮食安全得不到保障,何以来谈健康的话题。一句顺口溜这样说:

营养是人体生理发育、新陈代谢、日常行为不可或缺的能量,只有摄取吸收了适量的水、碳水化合物、脂肪、蛋白质、无机盐、维生素,人才能工作。营养的核心是合理配膳,平衡膳食,不能偏食,也不能厌食,要注重食品原料的多样化,促进营养综合吸收。所以说,《黄帝内经》上说:“五谷为养,五果为助,五畜为益,五菜为充”。在营养合理的情况下,不能忽视卫生,无论是食物原料的挑拣、洗涤、切配、加工烹饪、装盘,都要严格。从感官系统、物理角度到化学检验,都要达到新鲜、光亮、爽嫩、弹性丰富,无异味和腐败变质现象。

有人常吃路边的烧烤,认为这就是一种美食。可我不喜欢这种所谓的美食,因为我担心不卫生。网上说烧烤中含有亚硝酸盐、樱树油等。

也有人把膨化食品作为美食,而我却从来不吃。因为我听说其中含有危害健康的物质。网上说膨化食品通常含铅量比较高。铅能造成说注意力低下、记忆力差、多动,另外容易冲动、爱发脾气等等。

我向来对美食没有研究,我的饮食都是由我爱人来料理。她总是让我吃的东西不重样儿。每顿饭都做到有饭,有咸菜,有炖菜或汤。她做馒头时会同时用两种面,里面加上豆沙馅儿,外面再加上一个大红枣儿。我觉得这就是美食,吃得放心。煮饭或熬粥时,她会加入燕麦,桂圆,她还会粗粮、细粮间隔着使用。这样一来,营养比较全面。我认为这也是一种美食。

总之,我觉得对美食的追求应该多注意安全性和营养价值,注意食用方法的科学合理,决不能甜了嘴,却伤了身。

篇16:家乡美食学生作文

常听人们说小笼包美味可口,我却从没尝过,也不知是啥味道。这天下午,爸爸妈妈带我来到小笼包子店让我开开眼界,饱饱口福。那天终于如愿以偿了.

小笼包一个个白生生,皮薄薄的,里面好象有一包汁水在,小笼包小巧玲珑,形似宝塔,呈半透明壮,晶莹透黄,宝塔顶上一阵阵香气随风四溢,形状也和包子差不多,难怪叫小笼包,小笼包以上一般都是一笼里面有十个,每个都是圆鼓鼓的像一个个小雪球似的,只不过上面有一个凹凸不平的地方,还没上来我就被这香气熏得如痴如醉了。真恨不得把整个蒸好的小笼包一口吞掉。

一笼小笼包上来了,我坐在椅子上,刚蒸完的小笼包发出了一丝淡淡的香气息。一闻到这种香气息,我就忍不住要去大口大口的吃它了。刚夹起一个 “小胖墩”塞进嘴里,它就开始反 抗。 我这时肚子正饿得咕咕叫,恨不得将嘴巴变大,把四笼小笼包一口吞下去。于是我就用筷子小心翼翼地夹起小笼包,因为轻咬了一小口,汁水就像千军万马往我嘴里奔跑。我把它沾一点醋,轻进我的嘴里,肉馅又松又软,只要一嚼,它的肉就一下子松了下来,鲜美无比 妈妈说:“吃小笼包应该先醮点醋,轻轻咬一个洞,把里面鲜美的汤汁吸干,再吃皮和肉。小笼包的美味精华就在汤汁里,我按照妈妈的方法吃,汤汁鲜、皮薄肉嫩,真是好吃极了。果然,小笼包一会儿不吃不知道,一吃忘不了。我狼吞虎咽地吃了起来。它的肉非常十足,咬一口鲜鲜的,浓浓的.,咸咸的,让你吃了还想吃。于是我又缠着妈妈去买一客,当阿姨笑盈盈端来后,我又怎能放过呢?吃了一个又一个,在吃得满口流香,砸咂嘴,不住称赞道:“美!真是美味之极。”一眨眼,又被我消灭了,摸了摸鼓鼓的小肚子,添添嘴,余兴未了。
