有评分老师甚至断言:“It is not what you say,it is the way that you say it.”(重要的并不在于考生写了些什么,而在于考生是怎么表达的。)

Are computer games a boon in terms ofhelping students relax after a long day's work at school? Or are theydetrimental to pupils’ future development since students can become easilyaddicted to the virtual world? Personally, I am in sympathy with the latter.
Admittedly, computer games furnishentertainment when students only spend a moderate amount of time on them. Itmight even be beneficial since pupils can combine study with pleasure andtherefore achieve high efficiency. However, the hard truth is that droves ofstudents end up being obsessed with computer games and view them as a way toescape from reality. As a result, academic study is inevitably neglected. And avicious circle is created-the more frustrated students are about study, themore addicted they become to the virtual world. Furthermore, not only pupils’academic performance may suffer from playing computer games, the violencefeatured in such games may also exert an impact on impressionable teenagers. When the dividing line between the virtual and the real world is blurred, students may resort to violence in order to solve issues-as they do in games.Authoritative reports have confirmed that the increasing rate of violentincidents is ascribable toll the prevalent trend of playing computer games.
In sum, the demerits of computer games faroutweigh their few merits because of the tendency for students to neglectacademic study and because some students may become more violent.

The elderly have accumulated a lifetime's worth of experience, however, many young people often regard them as irrelevant, embarrassing, and out of touch. As far as I am concerned, the traditional Chinese virtue to respect the old people needs to be emphasized.
Firstly, the elderly deserve the respect due to their effort in bringing up their children and their contribution to society. We should always bear in mind that what we have and enjoy now was created by the aged people in the early days, as the old Chinese saying goes, “One generation plants trees under whose shade another generation rests,” Secondly, family is one of the best places for learning values, so every family should inspire younger members to respect the older ones. It is important, therefore, to set an example at home by taking good care of the elderly members, so that children learn to adopt this same practice. Families should make a point of including and involving the older members in the family activities and decisions. In this way, families will exemplify the right values, and young members will learn first-hand on how to respect the elderly,
Perhaps the most important test of a society is the way individuals behave towards one another. And specifically, how that society treats its elderly men and women. If young people do not respect the elderly, the whole society will be a mess without respect. Therefore, the elderly should be respected by all of us.

The students' evaluation oftheir teacher can be a very subjective proposition because it depends a lot onhow the evaluation is made and how it is subsequently used. I believe most teachers would like to know how effective theirteaching really is and how it benefits their students.
A difficulty with students' evaluation oftheir teacher is finding the right formulae to achieve an honest, constructiveand independent response. The size and makeup of the class can be a reason forthis difficulty. The larger the class the more likely will be the range ofability in the students. That fact limits the interaction between the teacherand individual students and automatically influences how students will perceivethe effectiveness of their teacher. Smaller classes are much less likely tohave a great range of ability in the students and their evaluation of theirteacher will tend to be more consistent. A crucial aspects with students'evaluation is how it is used. If it is a formal part of the school's program itneeds to be used constructively in liaison with the teachers for the benefit ofboth teachers and students.
For students' evaluations to be worthwhilethey need to be independent and honest. Negative comments from students, delivered with sincerity, can be very valuable in helping teachers change theirteaching methods and making them more effective. Biased evaluations can lead tomisinterpretation and less productive outcome.

I believe the craving some young women haveto copy what is promoted as the ideal figure for a woman is the cause of theirobsession with excessive dieting. A great deal of media advertising makes useof young, slim, attractive women and it is understandably natural that somewomen want to copy what they see as the ideal role model.
Obsessive dieting certainly does happen, asis illustrated by the numerous articles in magazines about people sufferingfrom anorexia. Almost exclusively, this obsession relates to younger women whoare constantly bombarded with the supposedly ideal woman as depicted in women'sfashion magazines, Most of these fashion models are very slim, some of themexcessively so. There is nothing wrong with a sensible controlled diet aimed atlosing some excess weight but, when the need to diet becomes an all-consumingpassions, that is when the danger occurs. Often, the people who becomesusceptible to the lure of the “perfect” figure are not aware of whatis happening to them. Usually, preventing dieting becoming an obsession willdepend on friends and relatives recognising the warning signs. As forpreventing the basic cause of this problem, that is a much more complex issueas it involves the standard mores of the society and people being aware oftheir responsibilities. Education about the dangers of excessive dieting needsto be part of the solution for prevention.
In conclusion, an obsession with dietingcan be prevented by friends and relatives of the dieter as well as an educationcampaign about the dangers of excessive dieting.
There be;Ⅲ。
Variety
6、多举EXAMPLE(重要)
Cultivate independence
Develop a strong sense of responsibility
Enhance social awareness
Build up one‘s confidence and offer one’s a sense of achievement―realize ones value and capacity
Widen one‘s horizon and sharp one’s character
With unprecedented advances in medical technology, a debate has developed over whether or not a person on life support has the right to die. On one side of the debate are those who say that…… On the other side is the view that…… In my mind, I completely agree/disagree the later .
There is no denying that ……has many positive effects. To begin with,……Secondly, …… Finally, ……
However, every coin has its two sides. ……is no exception. Many opponents say that ……
To conclude, ……
①前缀+词根:inter(中间)+vene→intervene(介入)
②词根+后缀:circl(圆)+let(小)→circlet(小环)
③词根+词根:tele(远)+scope(镜)→telescope(望远镜)
④前缀+词根+后缀:in(不)+aud(听)+ible(可)→inaudible(听不见)
⑤双前缀+词根:re(再)+dis(取下)+cover(盖)→rediscover(再发现)
⑥词根+双后缀:care(用心)+less(不)+ly(地)→carelessly(不小心地)
⑦前缀+双词根:tri(三)+gono(角)+metry(测量)→trigonometry(三角几何)
⑧双词根+后缀:biblio(书)+phil(爱)+ist(人)→bibliophilist(书籍爱好者)
⑨双前缀+词根+后缀:ir(不)+re(反对)+sist(站)+ible→irresistible(不可抵抗的)
前缀+词根+双后缀:se(离)+greg(群)+ation+ist→segregationist(种族隔离主义者)
双前缀+词根+双后缀:un(不)+pre(先)+ced(走)+ent+ed→unprecedented(史无前例的)
在下定义时,作者常使用一些信号词,如:is/are(called),means,can be defined as,refer to,is/are known as,signify等,例:
Food fallacies refer to beliefs about food that are not true.
Multiplexing ――transmitting independent signals at the same time in the same channel――increases the efficiency of radio channels.
Nerve cells evidently first appeared in coelenterates, “hollow gutted” organisms like hydra and the sea anemone.
Intelligent behavior. remained impossible until the appearance of relatively big, complex types of brain――the types we find among the vertebrates,or backboned animals.
Mr. and Mrs. Firth had a long courtship. They dated for nine years before they got married.

Part IV. Writing
Advantages and Disadvantages of Studying Abroad.
Directions: Write an essay of about words to state your view.
In the first part of your essay you should present the advantages of studying abroad. In the second part you should put forth the disadvantages of studying abroad. And in the last part you should clearly state your views about whether you prefer to study abroad or to study in your own country.
Marks will be awarded for content, organization, grammar and appropriateness. Failure to follow the above instructions may result in a loss of marks.
Some people believe that attending a college or university in a foreign country has many advantages. They think that attending a college or university abroad can help them learn more than they can from universities in their own country, especially when they go to a developed country where they can catch up with the pace of scientific and technical advance of the world from that country' s modern lab facilities. In addition, they can pick up the latest developments of the living language there more quickly, develop their ability of coping with the routine matters such as finding a part-time job, renting a house and helping with the house work, and learn many new things to widen their views and broaden their minds.
But some people don't agree to it. They think that attending a college or university in foreign country also has many disadvantages and the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. They hold that students studying in a foreign country will have more difficulties in both life and study. The most serious problem is the language barriers. They have to spend much time learning a foreign language and even if they have learned the language, they still can' t understand thoroughly what the foreigners and teachers say just because of the unfamiliar culture background and social cu
Do It, but with Love and Sincerity
The year 2014 witness target=_blank class=infotextkey>witnessed the birth and boom of an activity online and offline both at home and abroad: the ice bucket challenge. Originally designed to attract public attention to the disease amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), the practice has aroused a heated debate during its development. There exist opposing views on this matter. Proponents, represented by the ALS Association, claim that it is beneficial and praiseworthy, for it substantially increased donations for sufferers of the disease. Opponents, however, argue that it wastes water, does harm to one’s body and risks becoming a form of entertainment or commercial advertisement.
Personally, I deem that both sides have an element of truth in their arguments and the issue should not be addressed in a simple and crude way.
On the one hand, no one can deny the fact that the practice has benefited patients of ALS. Many people have not only donated money but also begun to learn about the disease and pay more attention to it.
On the other hand, however, the activity does seem to have deviated from its original purpose. As we have heeded, quite a number of the attendants got involved to attract eyeballs to themselves, rather than the disease. Most remain ignorant about the disease though bombarded by pictures of celebrities soaked in iced water that went viral online.
In the final analysis, I should say that the activity is a two-edged sword. But we should not give up eating for fear of being choked. The best policy, as I see it, is to take measures to avoid the harm done by it. For instance, a campaign should be launched at the same time to provide people with more knowledge about the disease, and encourage them to help those in need with love and integrity. Besides, the activity can well take a different form in drought-stricken regions.
Problems Created by the opulatton Explosion
This sudden increase in the population of the developing countries has come at a difficult time. Even if their population had not grown so fast they would have been facing a desperate struggle to bring the standard of living of their people up to the point at which there was enough food, housing, education, medical care and employment for everyone to have a reasonable life. The poor countries are having to run faster and faster in their economic activity in order to stay in the same place, and the gap in wealth between rich and poor countries grows wider every year.
The most pressing problem created by the rapid increase in population is a shortage of food. More mouths have to be fed every year and yet a high proportion of the existing population are not getting enough of the right kind of food. Over the past two years the total amount of food has decreased, and of course the total amount of food per person has decreased even more sharply.
More and more of the babies born in developing countries have been surviving infancy, and now nearly half the people living in those countries are under the age of 15. The adults have to work harder than ever to provide for the needs of the children, who cannot contribute to the economy until they are older. There is a shortage of schools and teachers, and there are not enough hospitals, doctors and nurses. Farming land is becoming scarce,so country people are moving to the towns and cities in the hope of finding a better standard of living. But the cities have not been able to provide housing, and the newcomers live in crowded slums. Finally, there are too few jobs, and unemployment leads to further poverty.
In a frantic society where efficiency is put great emphasis on, maybe it is high time we should take a breath and think about the bad consequences brought about by the head-spinning life. In the following excerpts, the author presents his opinion on the slow lifestyle versus the fast one. Read the excerpts carefully and write your response in about 300 words, in which you should:1.summarize briefly the author’s opinion;2. give your comment. Marks will be awarded for content relevance, content sufficiency, organization and language quality. Failure to follow the above instructions may result in a loss of marks.
Fast-free Living What Americans would do if they were serious about stopping to smell the flowers? Is the American lifestyle slowing down, in a response to national trauma and the onset of war? Judging from commentaries by cultural analysts and newspaper columnists, the answer is yes.
A Boston Globe editorial looked back on a hard year: “But it brought growth, too, and a deeper understanding of just how fragile life is, and how what we often take for granted―the kiss goodbye in the morning, the chat with a friend, the Saturday soccer game―is what matters most.” An observation from The Washington Post: “People seem to walk more slowly. They are off their brisk, self-important stride... Motorists are driving better. They lay off their horns. They don’t jump lights.” From The Dallas Morning News: “Americans are experiencing a sort of ‘cocooning of the heart’, cultural experts say. They’re using this time to reconnect with their families and friends.”
If Americans really were beginning to slow down, the contemporary simplicity movement would not be adding another meeting or two a month to our schedules. The antidote to a frenetic work life wouldn’t be something called “power leisure”.
The celebration of the new slowness may not reflect reality, but it surely does reflect some degree of yearning. Yet there may be a few bold steps we should take to get us on the path to fast-free living.
Backpacks. The task of slowing the country down must begin with efforts aimed at prevention. It should begin early, as an inspection of any schoolchild’s backpack will reveal. These encumbrances typically have a capacity of one and a half cubic feet and hold loads of forty pounds. The contents, unpacked and spread out like a GI’s battle kit, represent hyper-achievement in microcosm. A simple yet revolutionary reform would be to decree that the capacity of school backpacks be reduced by two thirds.
Drive-thru windows. The whole point of these amenities is speed, and without intervention drive-thru service will only get faster. According to The Futurist, McDonald’s will soon introduce e-mail billing at some of its drive-thru facilities in southern California. Other chains are experimenting with an E-Z Pass system, similar to the one used for bridge and highway tolls; a transponder in the car would permit purchases to be deducted automatically from prepaid accounts.
Electric light. Another issue related to biorhythms is the seemingly inexorable drift toward a 24/7 economy. The rule of thumb is that if anything can be done twenty-four hours a day, it will be; daycare centers and dentists’ offices are now open at midnight. Almost by definition, the maintenance of basic diurnal rhythms is essential to a humane way of life. Political arithmetic may forever doom a significant rise in the gasoline tax, but what about levying a ten-cent-a-watt tax on light bulbs? One happy consequence might be a shift back to daytime baseball.
Computer keyboards. Yes, computers have made many aspects of modern life more tolerable, enabling stupendous feats of calculation, storage, and management. But they are also an attractive nuisance, putting unimaginable amounts of sheer capability―to buy, to pry, to surf, to meddle―into the hands of people unaccustomed to its wise use. One way would be to decide that every computer must have two separate keyboards―one with all the vowels and the other with the consonants.
The measures outlined above would be a start. Should more impetus be needed, we could ban cup holders from cars, demand that breaking news be delivered only by mail, and add a ball and a strike to the standard at-bat. If Americans intend to take slowness seriously, they need to start picking up the pace.

Model Essay(范文):
Technology has greatly improved the way we getinformation. Students can now get more information, get it more quickly, and get it more conveniently.
The Internet and the World Wide Web has opened every major library and database tostudents around the world. Information comes not only in print form, but also in multimedia. You can get audio and video data. You can get information about event in the past as well asevents that unfold as you watch your computer monitor.
Information comes at the speed of the Internet, which is to say in nanoseconds. You cantype in a few key words in your search engine, and the engine will search the entire www to findinformation on your topic. You don't have to spend hours pouring over card catalogs in thelibrary and looking at the shelves. This research is done for you instantly on the Web.
It is certainly more convenient to sit at home and do research on your computer. Yourcomputer is open 24 hours a day, unlike a library or office, which has limited hours and limitedresources. You can do research in your pajamas while you eat breakfast. What could be moreconvenient?
Technology, especially the Internet, has certainly changed the quantity and quality of theinformation we get. The speed and convenience of a computer helps students learn more, more quickly.
求职
As is vividlydepicted by the drawing above, the job-hunting girl refuses a service post without any hesitation, complaining that she will never take a job of serving others. At the same time she is wondering why finding a promising job is so difficult in modern society.
This phenomenon can easily be found anywhere in our daily life, especially on campus. On the one hand, many job-seekers are reluctant to take jobs that they consider to be humble and trivial, because they have great ambitions and they only want to ride on the peak of success. On the other hand, wanting to gain more but pay less, both the jobless and graduating students aspire to seek a job that is well-paid, relaxed and comfortable. We should not look down upon service industry, the third industry, because it does provide us with many employment opportunities and positions.
Therefore, it is high time that we took effective measures to improve the current situation. For one thing, an education campaign should be launched to popularize the idea that “the longest journey starts with a single step” and to cultivate a down-to-earth attitude toward life. For another, the tendency of being lazy must be eradicated from the mind of the young. Only in this way can people realize their value of life better and can unemployment rate be reduced and thus can social harmony be achieved.

2、同等程度的大专生或硕士研究生经所在学校同意,可在本校报名参加考试;
3、同等程度的夜大或函授大学学生经所在学校同意,可在本校报名参加考试;

Nowadays, the consumer credit is becoming more popular and people’s consumption idea is changing. Some people tend to spend tomorrow’s money for today’s comfort. They believe that anticipating tomorrow’s money benefits the individuals as well as the society. In my point of view, I agree with this.
In the first place, for the individual, spending tomorrow’s money can make one enjoy the products or services that one can not afford at the present. Definitely there are times when one’s purchasing power can not meet one’s current needs of necessities, and anticipating tomorrow’s money can solve this problem. For instance, many families that can not pay cash for major items such as houses, cars, furniture and appliances are able to purchase them without cash on the installment plan.
In the second place, something unexpected may happened any time. For normal families, once family member are terribly ill, which needs a barrel of money. The consumer credit could play an important role in this situation, it could save lives.
To addition, spending tomorrow’s money contributes to the progress of our society. Overspending, which means a satisfied large demand for the consumer products, can help shape a better production structure, drive forward our economy and invigorate the whole society eventually.
In a word, using tomorrow’s money is a better way to make the individuals as well as the society goes round.
Nowadays more and more people choose to work freelance instead of work for somebody else. It is a shame to work freelance in the old days, people would said that the one who are self-employed is a lazy man, and this kind of job is not security, they fear of instability. However, the conception is changed, work freelance has been widely accepted by public, me included.
In the first place, one of the biggest advantages of work freelance is that you are the master of your time. Once you are self-employed, you are able to manage your time by your own wish. You do not have to get up very early in the morning, especially in a cold winter morning, and take a crowded bus in case you will not late for work, which links directly to your salary. For me, I would love to stay home in my pajamas rather than fight through traffic so I can sit in a cubicle all day.
In the second place, work freelance is a wonderful gift for an introvert. As you can see, if you are working outside, you can not avoid to working with others. It might be hard to deal with different people in the office. There is one more thing that you can not avoid, which is your social duties, drinking and eating. You can’t say no to this, or you will said bye to your job. As we know, too much food or wine is not good for our body, but as long as the cline feels happy, no one will care too much of their body.
To sum up, each type of work style has its own advantages and disadvantages, it is your choice. I think working should be a happy thing, if it isn’t, your life will be a sadly hell.

Cell phone seems to be one of the most important inventions of 20 century. Using cell phones to surf the Internet has become quite common in our daily lives. Cell phone has exceeded its original function such as making phones calls or sending message. Its multi-functions have make people’s tedious lives more colorful. Many people, especially the young generation, have found that they can not live without their cell phones. Many people feel uncomfortable in absence of their cell phones. This may become a symptom called cell phone dependency.
First, many people have addicted to cell phones, they spend considerable time and money on the phone, for it provide with numerous games and applications. Some of them even use cell phones as computers that they keep the phone open for all day long. As to some students, some of them even use the phones to play games in the class, when they should focus on their study instead. In this case, parents and teachers should limit the time that children spending on the cell phones, for its have more disadvantages than advantages.
Second, the dependency on cell phones has shown people’s anxiety towards to their social interrelationship. A day without cell phone just feels like getting lost in this big world. Every day, people tend to check their cell phones to see if they have got any messages or surf the Internet, but the cell phone truly affects their normal life.
There is no denying that cell phones have brought us considerable convenient. However, we should be aware of the negative effects that cell phones have brought to us. Just put down your cell phone for a while, and you will find that without your phone life can still be wonderful, too.

The Most Important Quality of a College Student
Many people describe their college years as the best time of their lives. However, not every student achieves the same level of success. This raise the question: What is the most essential quality needed to succeed in one’s higher education
Personally, of all attributes that can contribute to a successful college career, the most important one is effective time management. To begin with, students who know how to manage their time effectively will be able to ensure strong academic performance. While getting high grades in by no means the only aspect of success for undergraduates, students who fail in most or all of their courses could hardly be considered successful. In addition, time-management consciousness can enable students to become more socially successful. University is not just an academic experience, but also a social one. Students who fail to budget their time and, in turn, fall behind in their studies, will have fewer opportunities to hang out with friends and classmates.
For the above reasons, I believe that time management is the most important quality for a college students.

On Volunteer
In recent years, the volunteering spirit has spread widely among the public, especially among youngsters. From Olympic Games to urban communities, many people are seen to offer free help.
Volunteering is of tremendous benefit to those in need. For example, hundreds of thousands of volunteers played an active role in the recent quake-hit Yushu area: they offered medical and psychological aid to the victims in the relief work. On the other hand, volunteering is beneficial to the volunteers themselves too. Involved in volunteering activities, people are exposed to new circumstancesj and they can learn how to work well in a team and how to improve their interpersonal skills, all of which are critical for their career development.
In my view, we should all join in volunteering work as long as we have spare time. That doesn’t necessarily mean that we all volunteer in regions struck by natural disasters. There are many people eise who need our help, i.e. the old or the sick in the near nursing home. Little by EittJe, we are sure to help make the world better

Both Economic Development and Environmental
Protection Are Indispensable
I am not supportive of the idea that either takes priority. It is necessary and absolutely possible that economic development and environmental protection co-exist,in the sense that both of them are indispensable factors for the prosperity of society.
Economic development is seemingly more important, due to the fact that it creates enormous job opportunities, improves living conditions and increases government revenues. Yet, the above goals can only really be reached on condition that the environment is well. protected. And, interestingly, it is the economic development per se that provides the money and personnel resources required for the protection of the environment. A well-preserved environment is the groundwork for the economy and in a way promotes economic growth. A fast-developing and well-functioning economy calls for a good environment, which offers essential resources, e.g. wood, coal, water, etc. for production. Once the environment deteriorates, the production process is likely to be disturbed or even halted. What is worse, natural disasters that come with the worsening environmental conditions might even paralyses the whole economy mid pose a severe threat to human life, The pursuit of short-term economic profit is the destruction of our home and that of our posterity.
So, economic development and environmental protection are equally important. In this sense, we are actually working on an environment-friendly economy. Given the status quod, it is possible to realize the co-existence of the two as long as we are conscious and determined enough.

The Importance of Adult Education
Many people in the workforce are unhappy with their current salaries or career and consider a change or a betterment of their lives through discovering new avenues of industry。Adult education is on the rise。I personally hold that adult education is highly advisable and pletely achievable3 and therefore is highly important。
Firstly, adults starting a new or returning to school most often have found within themselves a strengthened desire to succeed。 Studies have shown that 80% of adult students graduate as pared to a 50% average graduation rate among traditional students。Furthermore, adults have a bank of knowledge from life or work experience that can contribute to what they will learn in school。This is a fantastic advantage over their younger peers。Adults also view their professors as peers and are less intimidated by them,Last but not least, higher education for the adult is a life-changing experience。Most often, adults go to school to further their education in hopes of salary increases, chances for promotion,or they go to school for change, hoping to enter into a better field or pursue a field that they have a deep-rooted passion for。
In conclusion, the importance of having adult education overshadows the difficulties in pursuing your degree later in life。Given that most colleges and universities have tailored their programs to fit adult student's needs and schedules, going back to school for adult education is feasible and highly advisable。
The Way to Success
There are many ways to success, such as hard working, passion or good preparations。 From Honore De Balzac’s famous remark, “There is no such thing as a great talent without great will power”, we can see that the way to success is having a strong will。
A strong will is essential if we want to achieve our goals。 Initially, every success involves several stages of setbacks and risks, and we need to summon up our will to overe them。 Moreover, there are enormous temptations in our path of the pursuit of success。 Only with a strong will can we resist the temptation, and persist in chasing our goals until we reach them。
The long history of human being has also proved that only those with a strong will can achieve success at last。 We are all familiar with Thomas Edison’s story that he had tried one thousand kinds of materials before he finally made his great bulb light up。 Without a strong will, Edison might have been a nobody。 Without a strong will, no one can succeed。
Killing Time Indoors
Nowadays a growing number of people, especially the 20s or 30s, tend to stay indoors for most of their spare time, especially on holidays。 Some spend the majority of the time online chatting, blogging, shopping, dating or playing puter games。 Some sit with their eyes glued to the television screen, day and night。
People’s opinions vary when it es to this way of killing time。 A great number of people maintain that staying indoors is cheap, fortable, and most importantly, very safe。 Others, however, frown upon staying indoors for too long。 They are worried that lack of physical exercise and face-to-face munication with others will do harm to people’s body and mind。
Personally, I don’t think staying indoors for most of the day should be advocated。 Instead, people in all ages, their physical conditions permitting, should be encouraged to spend more time outdoors。 The brilliant sunshine, the pleasant green space, the interactions with other people, etc。 are all good for people’s health, both physically and psychologically。
As an old saying goes,“Treat others the way you want to be treated。” Likewise,(同样) if you want to be understood, you must first seek to understand others。
To understand others is to put yourself into others' shoes and to be aware of their feeling。 That is often perceived as a mere selfless act; but in fact, when you seek to be empathetic(感同身受的), you can melt an otherwise cold relationship and thus are more likely to get understood。
If clinicians, for instance, treat patients like medical conditions, not people, then minor disagreements between them may escalate into(矛盾加剧) greater conflicts。 On the contrary, if a care provider can put himself in patients' place, trying to feel their pains and sufferings, the patients will be more inclined to (更有可能)understand the clinician, even if the treatment falls flat。
In conclusion, understanding generates within us love and inclusiveness。 Only when we attempt to understand others, can we truly care about them and tolerate differences。 It's understanding that enables us to have a generous heart to be considerate and benevolent(与人为善的)。If everyone is willing to do so , we will surely be better understood and tolerate。
The Importance of Daily Exercise
I definitely believe that a regular amount of suitable daily exercise is an important factor in maintaining one's health。 The focus is on the word “suitable“ because a person's age and physical condition can dictate the type and amount of exercise that is appropriate。
There is a wide variety of exercise routines available to suit people of all ages and condition but it is wise to seek the advice of a doctor before taking on a fitness program that may not be suitable: The growth of fitness studios in the big cities has made it easier for busy people to work out a program to fit their time schedule。 Most of these studios are staffed with petent and qualified professionals who can tailor a fitness program to best suit one’s needs。 Some people rely on sport to provide the exercise they need but some sports carry a risk of injury。 People who lead a sedentary life that does not involve much physical activity can offset this through isometric exercises。 While the professional studios e equipped with all the latest machines and aids, there are plenty of ways a person can get sufficient exercise without incurring the cost associated with studio fees。 Walking or riding a bike are excellent sources of providing free exercise but one of the most popular is the regular practice
of the Tai Chi movements。
In conclusion, daily exercise is important for health and there are many ways to do this which cost little amounts of money。
The power of cooperation
The intended meaning of the pelling photo above is far-reaching and affords much food for thought! One cannot help but be moved by the scene as illustrated in the caricature, where there are two handicapped men, with their broken legs tied together, running forward and leaving the dust flying behind the, with a caption underthis caricature indicating: “With one leg of yours and one leg of mine, we jointlybrave our way forward here and there!”
Given its profound social implication, the thought-provoking phenomenon is well worth our endeavor to explore。Undoubtedly, this cartoon arouses our deep concern over the issue of mutual support。 The message conveyed in it, I suppose, is twofold。
In the first place, in contemporary society, if one wants to achieve his targets or intends to fulfill his ambitions, he has to work hard, make efforts and get prepared on the basis of his team, otherwise, he will take no advantage of opportunities when they e to visit him。
Secondly, the difference between a man who succeeds and one who does not mainly lies in thefact whether or not he couldhe could cooperates successfully with others。
As a famous quotation from the ancient Greek Aesop’s Fables put it, “United we stand, divided we fall。” We should glory in teamwork and helping one another; take self-seeking to be a disgrace。
Any opinion is, in fact, a judgment。 I feel that as Americans we would do well to judge othersless often。 Still, we must be able to decide whom to spend our time with and whom we’d ratherforget。 In my opinion, this type of judgment is best after we get to know other people。 Firstimpressions are not always accurate impression。
Judging a person based on a first impression does save time。 There are more people thananyone could possibly get to know in one lifetime。 It is frustrating to waste time getting toknow someone, only to find out that your first impression was correct and that you really don’tlike him or her。 So is it a waste of time getting to know people your probably won’t like? Thatseems to be a valid point of view, but I believe that it is not the best attitude to take。
It’s more humane to spend time getting to know people before judging them。 I know that Idon’t always make a good first impression even when I truly like the person with whom I aminteracting。 We all have bad days, I wouldn’t want to lose a job or a potential friendship simplybecause I picked out the wrong clothing or said something wrong。 I think everyone deserves thechances make a second impression。
If we all base our final opinion of others on first impression, it would be hard to get to knowanyone。 There is always more to people than meets the eye。 If we don’t give someone a chance,we may be missing out on meeting a life-long friend。 That would truly be shame。
Choose a Job You Love
When it es to choosing a job I believe that one's own interest should be considered as an important criterion。
I concede that big cities usually provide more opportunities than smaller cities。 And the challenges presented with big cities can also motivate new graduates to adjust to the real petitive world fast。 In the same sense, remuneration undeniably would be a major factor as well。 However, as far as I am concerned, the decisive factor should be one's interest。 People can easily be trapped in a job which does not inspire them。 But work can also be a source of infinite pleasure and enjoyment if it intrigues an individual。 Furthermore, one is much more likely to obtain achievements by playing to one's strengths。 Life would be more meaningful when one endeavours to pursue one's real interests and follow one's heart。 Admittedly, it is hard not to be tempted by a high salary。 Yet, in the long run, one will e to the realisation that it is shortsighted to exchange one's passion for monetary rewards。
In the final analysis, although there are a myriad of factors to be considered before making a decision, from my standpoint, I believe that one should never forgo one's true passion。
Decline in Morals
In modern society, the decline in morals is being more and more severe。 For example, there have been a few cases in which a senior woman pretended to have fallen over and then blackmailed the person who tried to help her。 There was also another case where a little girl was hit by a car and no passers-by gave her a hand。
To solve this problem, we need first to find out the reasons。 For one, the fast pace of modern society is driving people apart from each other, thus people are losing the patience to care for others。 For another, with technology developing, it’s much easier for people to know what is happening in the world today。 In order to draw people’s attention, some media would lay stress on negative news and overemphasize the negative effects。
To reestablish social morals, we must work together。 People should learn to care for the others, while the media should treat negative news more properly。
Self-confidence
There are many factors that can contribute to a person’s success in life。 Whether he is at school or at work, a person is more likely to succeed if he is hard-working, honest, intelligent, responsible, and so on。 But of all the possible characteristics that can affect one’s success, I believe self-confidence to be the most important for the following reasons。
The first reason is that when a person has self-confidence he believes in himself。 He believes that he can and will succeed, and this gives him the courage to try new things。 In order to be successful we must be willing to take some risks, so having self-confidence is very important。 Another reason is that a confident person rarely gives up。 When he fails he tries again and again until he wins。 A final reason is that confident people are not afraid to show off their achievements。 This is not to say that they should brag, but that they should gracefully and confidently accept the pliments of others。 When their achievements are noticed more by others at school or work, they are more likely to succeed。
In short, I believe self-confidence to be the most important factor in success。 It enables people to take risks, try again when they fail, and enjoy their acplishments when they win。 With these abilities, a confident person can succeed easily at school or work。

There are a lot of advantages to having friends who are different from you。 For one thing, they'll give you a different way of looking at the world,。 Friends who are different can introduceyou to foods, music, politics, and books you've never tried before。 If you're a spontaneous kindof person, someone who is more scheduled can help you get better organized。 You, on theother hand, can help them loosen up a little bit, and do things more on the spur of themoment。
Someone who is different from you won't have the same reaction to situations。 This can bea big help。 If you're the kind of person who gets very impatient waiting for your meal in arestaurant, it helps to have someone calm with you。 Your friend can help you keep yourtemper。 If you're a little timid about standing up for yourself, a more assertive friend canhelp you develop a little more self-respect。
However, there can also be advantages to having friends who are similar to you。 You usuallyenjoy doing the same things, so you don't have to argue about what you want to do。Sometimes it's fun experiencing new things。 Other times, it's more fun doing what you knowyou'll enjoy。
All things considered, I think I'd like to have a lot of acquaintances who are different and afew close friends who are similar to me。 That seems the best of both worlds。

Life is being more digital and the digital is being more alive。 Have you ever noticed that you were surrounded by all kinds of digital products? Digital camera, digital puter, digital television, and so on。Because of these stuff, great changes have taken place in our morden life。
Firstly, with the development of digital products,TV,film and music go on-line and mobile。Our life are being more and more colorful。 Secondly, the growth of peer to peer digital media means that people can generate and transact digital content and services over global networks。 Nowadays, information is being unleashed and re-shuffled。And everything is being increasingly more connected。This is both very exciting and a bit unnerving。At last, the digital age has renewed our interest in friendship which means there is also an opportunity to deepen our sense and appreciation of it。
To sum up,our future is digital。To achieve success in the 21st century, all of us need to attain proficiency in digital products。

As the technology and economic is developing, the environment problem is being a severe problem, and the people are seriously affected。
The sustained damage to the environment has caused a serious problem, such as air pollution, sand storm, extraordinary weather, and diseases etc。, people suffer from what they have done to the environment。
However。 People have realized that it will be too late if they don’t do anything to prevent things from getting worse。 For example, there is an “Earth Hour” on a Saturday of March of each year。 It is a global movement, usually it lasts from 8:30pm to 9:30pm。 It is also called “Light-off for One Hour”。 During this hour, all the light will be turned off。 The purpose of this movement is not only to save energy, but also to warn the people to realize the importance of protecting the mother earth, and to stop violating the environment。
Anyway, people and the environment have to keep a balance relationship。 People take from the environment, and have to protect it too。
Choosing an Occupation
One of the most important problems a young person faces is deciding what to do。 There are some people, of course, who from the time they are six years old ”know\" that they want to be doctors or pilots or fire fighters, but the majority of us do not get around to making a decision about an occupation or career until somebody or something forces us to face the problem。
Choosing an occupation takes time, and there are a lot of things you have to think about as you try to decide what you would like to do。 You may find that you will have to take special courses to qualify for a particular kind of work, or you may find out that you will need to get actual work experience to gain enough knowledge to qualify for a particular job。
Fortunately, there are a lot of people you can turn to for advice and help in making your decision。 At most schools, there are teachers who are professionally qualified to give you detailed information about job qualifications。 And you can talk over your ideas with family members and friends who are always ready to listen and to offer suggestions。
