篇1:Trust时尚口语

Are you quick to trust others? If you are, chances are you haven’t been burned. By “burned”, I’m talking about having a bad experience with trusting others. If you take someone into your confidence, and you trust him with a secret, and he tells someone else that secret, and you find out. Well, you’ve been burned. Say you have a kind of emotional scar. Since the relationship has been hurt, in extreme cases you might even say the bridge has been burned between you and your friend.

This happens to people lots of times. It even happened to me before. I trusted a close friend with a secret, but he violated my trust and told someone else. After I found out about what he did, our friendship was never the same again. Well, I hope you haven’t had a lot of bad experiences when it comes to trusting others. I also hope you have a lot of friends you can trust, and a lot of friends that trust you. But I was thinking about gaining someone’s trust, it’s not that easy like building a bridge or relationship. You make small promises and keep them, and the trust grows. As the trust grows, you can make bigger and bigger promises. And if you keep on keeping your word, well, the trust keeps on growing.

时尚口语:Making judgement

Are you the type of person that is quick to judge? I often make the mistake of quickly judging someone. You've probably heard the expression, “Don't judge a book by its cover”. But, it's hard not to. In this fast-food world, where everything travels faster and faster, and we are still not satisfied. It's hard not to make quick judgement.

We channel surf, and people surf too.

I think it's easy to critisize others, and it's easy to critisize ourselves. I would have to say that I'm my worst critic. I'm pretty hard on myself. How about you?

Do you consider yourself to be a fairly understanding person? Critisizing yourself a little bit is ok. Actually I think it's important to laugh at yourself, even to tease yourself. Better you tease yourself than others. Rodney Dangerfield, a famous American comedian, passed away not too long ago, he has many one-liners, where he put himself down.Would you like to hear one of the silly things he said?

He said,“I told my psychiatrist that everyone hates me, he said I was being rediculous. Everyone hasn't met me yet”.

Recently, I'm trying to be less critical of people, and even myself. When I'm in a judgement mood, I even try to laugh a little, what do you do?

Talk about it:

1)are you a critical person?

2)what do you usually criticize?

3)how do you feel when people criticize you?

4)are you good at laughing at yourself?

5)how important are first impressions to you?

6)do you ever judge people before you meet them?

7)are you able to change the first impression of a person later on?

8)what do you do to make a good first impression?

9)how do you decide whether to change something about youself?

10)would you change something about yourself if a close friend or relative pointed out a fault?

时尚口语:making changes---getting rid of bad habits

I was cleaning up my computer yesterday, organizing files, deleting some unused things to make more space, and improving what I already have. Even though my computer was almost five years old, pretty old in computer years, I don't plan on buying a new computer any time soon, because I just use it for some simple things. Anyway, so I got to thinking about, well, if I could different things from Me, what would I ? If I would add certain things, what would I aad. I guess it's possible to add or subtract certain physical traits. Many people plastic surgery or get liposuction, or whatever, but I was thinking more about habit. If I were able to one bad habit, and add one good habit, what would it be? I started running through my list of bad habits, After a number of three thousand four hundred and seventy-one, I thought, “OK, Asaac, choose one!” So, I decided on knuckle cracking. That's the one habit I want to get rid of. If I could magically add habit, I guess it would be “exercise every morning before I go to work”. All of us had bad habits, some of them aren't so bad, these could be things like: not turning off the lights when leaving the room, or watching too much television. But, some of these bad habits are more serious, like: drinking too much, or smoking. I am glad I don't have those habits. There are lots of good habits we can pick up.

A person might try being nicer to people, or stop eating junk food, or try to be more punctual, not be later all the time.

Everyone probably wants to lose bad habits, or pick up good babit, how about you?

What would you like to add or substract from you life?

Talk about it

1)what are your good habits?

2)what are your bad habits?

3)what's one bad habit you would like to get rid of?

4)what's one good habit you would like to add?

5)what would you like to change about your life?

6)Is there a habit that you have that is different or unique?

7)when breaking bad habits like smoking, people often say that they are cooking cold chocolate, do you know what this experience means?

8)what do you think the best method for breaking about a habit is?

9)how often do you have to perform action before you think it be comes a habit?

时尚口语: Self-improvement-upgrating your life

If you are given some money to fix up your residence, your apartment or house, what would you do?Would you get some new wall-paper?would you get some new light fixtures? would you get some new furniture? these kinds of things are called home improvements.

If you are given time and money to upgrate yourself, what would you do?learning a new language?exercise more?buy some new shoes?go on a diet?take up a new hobby?take sing lessons?what do you think about self-improvement?

I love trying to do new things, or learning new skills, I love the feelings of learning something new, it makes me feel like I am a complete person. and it doesn't have to be something big either, it could be something small, but still important. For example, I have been thinking about going to the dentist for a long time, but I get up to courage and actually went the other day. It was nice to finally have my teeth cleaned.

Anyway, these things are all related to self-improvement.

Is there anything at the top of your list of things to do to improve yourself?

Talk about it:

1)what would you like to improve by yourself?

2)what can you do to upgrate your life?

3)It's self-improvement always expensive?

4)what are some low cost ways to improve yourself?

5)Do you have any relationships that could be improved?

6)How could you improve your home?

7)Is there anything you can do to improve your health?

8)what do you think of self-help books? have you ever read one?

9)Do you often think of ways to improve yourself?

时尚口语:Quality Time on the Weekend

Do you have any plans for the weekend? I hope you do, if you don't check out the culture page in your local paper or on the internet or just sit down and think of something that you want to do.

I hope to go on a small road trip this weekend. I have a few ideas but my wife and I haven't decided exactly where to go. What you do on the weekend obviously depends on the weather, if it's nice and warm outside we often play in the water. This means that we could have a water fight with squirt guns outside the house or we could go to the ocean and splash in the water there. When it's really cold, we'd like to go sliding, you can pay and go on man made slopes but we like to grab a bar and slide down the slipper slope with the neighborhood's kids. So what's going to be this weekend, indoor stuff, boring, shopping, walking around the music or outdoor stuff, going for a hike or simply a walk? Of course you can always stay at home and play a ballgame or watch a family video altogether. Sometimes we buy a Jigsaw Puzzle and put it together on the kitchen table, we are just talking to each other it's nice to work together as a team.

I hope to spend some quality times with my family even it's for short time. I want to focus on the quality. I hope you and your love ones also agree to spend some quality time together. It's not just how much time you spend with someone, but how well you spend the time with that person that counts. It's the quality not the quantity that's important. Remember, if you don't have a plan for the weekend yet, take the moment and make one.

TALK ABOUT:

What's your plan for the weekend?

What do you usually do on the weekend?

Do you prefer indoor or outdoor activities?

Do you usually do activities alone or with people?

What activities do you do with your family?

What does quality time mean to you?

What are some quality time activities?

Do you usually make plans or just do thing when you want to?

If you could go anywhere with your family, where would you go?

时尚口语: More changes--changing the world

After thinking about some changes I'd like to make with myself, I started thinking about the changes I'd like to make with my family, and even my neighborhood. It's possible to think about things to add and to leap in your work place, too. People often complain about their jobs, their bosses and their work places. In fact, people talk about changes they'd like to make about work more than they talk about changes for anything else!

Are there any changes you'd like to make in your home, your neighborhood, your work place, or even on a larger level? What if you were in charge of the United Nations? What are some causes that you would fight for? I don't think we have to be the president of a country, or the boss of a company to make changes happen. I guess the first place is in the home. But we don't just live in the house all day. Sure, I know there are limits for what we can change. And also, the way we go about making changes is important. It's easy to rub someone the wrong way when just making a suggestion, but that doesn't mean we still can't make changes, or at least try to make changes. Sometimes, I think that making changes is a good thing. How about you?

Talk about it:

Creating changes is a very real challenge, do you agree? Have you tried and failed at making changes? What changes have you tried to make? What changes would you like to make? What would you change if you were the president of Korea? What would you change if you were the head of the United Nations? Are all changes good? Why or why not? Do you have a say in the changes on decisions that occurred in your household?

时尚口语:Asking questions

Knowing how to ask questions is so important. I usually start an English class by writing questions on the blackboard, with words like who, what, when, where, why, how and which.

The most simple conversation is made up of questions, for a conversation to take place, for it to flow smoothly, questions are needed. Questions are like spark that light the fire, questions are like the gas that keeps conversation moving, questions are like the steering wheel that allow you to move your conversation car in any direction.

Is there something you want to know ? or to be curious about how things work?I think humans are eternally curious, we want to know about things. My youngest child has a favorite word-why.He always asks questions, sometimes his questions drive me crazy:why do we have to go to school?why do we have to wear shoes?why no so big?

ah, I answer as much as I can. Sometimes I wish you would not ask so many questions, but I am going out of having burning sense of curiosity, then the world has wonder, and it is wonderful.

Questions are the key to good communication and great conversation.Do you want to know the best question I have asked?Twelve years ago, I asked someone this question, and I am so glad she answered yes. The question, are you sure you really want to know?It was: will you marry me?Now I am happy .

Talk about it:

1)Is it easy to ask people questions?

2)Have you ever asked someone a question and then should

3)Have you ever been really happy that to ask a question?

4)Has a question ever prevented a big misunderstanding for you?

5)Are you a curious person?

6)If you are curious about something,do you try to get an answer?

7)What do you do when you ask something and you don't want answer?

8)There was expansion,“curiosity kills the cat”,what do you think it means?do you agree with it?

时尚口语:Nice Surprises

Do you like surprises? Sure, there are 'bad' surprises, like a pop quiz given by your teacher or an unexpected bill. Those are no fun.

But there are also nice surprises. Have you ever had a surprised party? Didn't it feel great to be surprised by all your friends and family? Especially when you thought they'd forgotten your birthday.

Have you ever given someone a gift, and that person wasn't expecting it at all? What kind of look did that person have on his face? It probably looked like complete happiness.

How about a surprise phone call? Right out of the blue...?

Those are the best surprises. Have you ever called someone for no particular reason----just besause you wanted to hear that person's voice or because you wanted to catch up on old times? Or because you wanted to say 'hi'.

Those are some of the surprises that I like the most.

A surprise like a party or a gift or a phone call that is unexpected somehow feels better than you were expecting. I wonder why that is.

I try to surprise my family sometimes. I bring my wife flowers or give something to my children. You should see the looks on their faces. And that makes me happy, too.

You should surprise people. You'll probably make their day, and it might make your day, too.

Talk aout it:

When was the last time you give someone a nice surprise?Do you like surprises?Have you ever heard a surprise party? How was other surprised you? What was the good surprice you've gotten? What was the bad surprice you've gotten?Have you ever give a surprise gift to someone?what was the person's reaction?Who would you like to give a phonecall to? how would people always react to surprises?

时尚口语:Power Walk Getting more exercise

I’ve been thinking and talking and writing about how I need to get some exercise. But I haven’t done much about it. So, the other day, after a radio show, I went for a walk. I walked a little faster than normal, so it could be considered a power walk. But I didn’t walk too fast. That way I could enjoy the walk and not feel I was exercising. There were a lot of nice flowers out and the green plants all waved at me as I passed by. Walking is not only a great exercise but it also gives me a chance to go outside. Sometimes I feel I spend all my time indoors. Taking a walk outside helps me get away from everything. I can forget my work , or my problems at least for a while. And I also get a chance to appreciate nature. There weren’t many people out walking, so I pretty much have the path to myself. Back home and when you go for a walk, you other people who are walking. You may say “Hi!” or “Nice day for a wak!” or just simply nod and smile as you pass them. It was a bit onely yesterday, but it was ncie to get out and get the blood plumping. You should try it. I highly recommend it. Who knows? We might even meet.

Talk about it:

Do you ever go out for walks?

Where do you go for walking?

Who do you usually walk with?

Do you walk quickly or slowly?

Do you ever talk to other people that are walking?

What do you say to them?

Do you enjoy the scenerey when you walk?

Do you walk for exercise or another reason?

How long do you usually walk for?

How does walking make you feel?

时尚口语:Teaching and Learning Responsibility

“Teaching a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.” It sounds good in theory. But is it realistic to make your kids “work”? They are supposed to study or play or do something other than “work”. Parents “work” for the future of their kids, right? But that’s exactly why kids should do a little work --- to learn responsibility. It's good for their futures.

They should know how to do things like: clean up after themselves by putting their toys and books away. Perhaps they should even throw out the trash / separate the stuff for recycling / help for the laundry / dust the house /clean the floor. If they are older, they can set the table or wash the dishes. (Actually, in my house, washing the dishes is my job). Those are just some ideas of things that kids can do.

Sure, one of the first things that may come to mind is “Cinderella”, but it’s not like they are doing this all day long. They may do their “chore” once a day or even once a week. But it’s THEIR job. Not Mom's. When we talk about young kids and education, most agree that it should be fun, or the kids will get sick of it.

When we clean our house, we sometimes turn on music. We often all clean together. For example, when it's time to clean the floor, we might get two damp rags each and skate around the room. We also clean the car together. When we all clean together, we give each other energy. But doing some things alone to learn a sense of responsibility is crucial. Having a kid who is always dependent makes life hard for a parent.

Talk about it.

Is it cool to make kids to chores? Do your kids have any house chores? What are some common house chores? What can children learn from doing chores? How can you make chores more fun? How often should children do chores? What kinds of work shouldn’t kids do around the house? What do you think of children who don’t do chores? What chores did you do when you were younger? How did you feel about doing house chores?

时尚口语:Keeping a diary----recording precious moments

It has been a long time since I kept a diary, but I am then thinking more and more about the value of some kind of journal.

Although writing daily in a diary is tough, it's good a habit to have, especially when learning a language, or if you want to be some kind of writer. Getting into the habit of writing a little bit everyday, is supposedly one of the important things a writer can do.

Yesterday, I was thinking about great scenes of movies and I got to thinking about the great scenes of my own life, scenes that I should remember, that I should write down somewhere.

As time goes by, I tend to forget those things. As time goes by, the things tend to lose focus, they tend to become less sharp, they fade a little.

So, I'm starting to write stuff down more and more.

It's amazing how many things wakes experience in a day or in a week., but if you don't take the time to write some of those things down, the days just blur.

It's hard to separate one day from another, time surely does fly by.

Capturing the precious moments in a lives with words, in little stories, seems necessary to make your own lives more colorful, even when we feel a little blue. We can look at those memories, those moments, and feel uplifted.

I hope you agree.

Talk about it:

1)Do you keep a diary?

2)How often do you write it?

3)What do you write about?

4)Is your diary private or do you let other people read it?

5)Do you enjoy writing?

6)Do you have a web blog? would you like to start one?

7)Do you ever go back and read what you wrote a long time ago?

8)How do think you can improve as a writer?

时尚口语:Writing: Just a letter

In the modern age, you can communicate in so many ways: text messaging, e-mailing, faxing, calling, but there is something about snail mail that is special. When was the last time you received a letter from someone? I mean a card with more than one or two lines written on it. There are even cards you can buy that are pre-made. They are already full of writing. All you need to do is fill in the “to” and the “from” spots. I recently made a card for my dad. His birthday is coming up. Every once in a while taking the time to write in your own handwriting showing that you care is nice. Making the card for my dad was good for me. It made me feel like I was back in elementary school. I put some stickers on it, I colored some parts, and of course, I wrote how good I am that he's my dad. I got so used to typing that it's hard to write well now. I have to write slowly or else my handwriting is really messy. Well, if you get a chance to write to someone, and you have a little extra time, I suggest that you actually write a card. You don't have to make one, but doing it the old-fashional way can be refreshing. Snail mail is slower in arriving, but it's worth the wait.

Talk about it:

Do you still use snail mail? How do you usually communicate with people? What is your preferred method of communication? How often do you send people letters? When was the last time you wrote a letter? Do you have neat hand-writing? Do you prefer writing or typing? How do you feel when you receive a letter? How often do you check your e-mail inbox?

时尚口语:sight

Every once in a while on a weekend, my family and I go to the local park, and shoot off some small fireworks. then we light some sparklers and run around until they burn out. Its nice to watch the kids run around with the sparklers. You know, its actually kind of hard to see who is who in the dark. but I can tell because the height of sparks and the sound of the laughter. If it were only laughter, and no sparks, wow, something big would be missing.

If I had to lose one of my senses, I am not sure which one would be, but I now for sure that I would keep my sight. Being able to see is such a blessing.

There are so many wonderful things to see in this world,

the colorful flowers and leaves,

the amazing clouds,

the way sun shines,

These are some of the things that I love looking at.

I also think about reading, I read all the time. And because my sight, I am able to read conveniently.

I do so much with my eyes.

I dont have perfect eyesight, but I am glad I can see so much.

Talk about it:

1)If you have to lose one of your senses, which one would it be?

2)how important are your eyes to you?

3)do you have good eyesight?

4)what do you think about wearing glasses or contacts?

时尚口语:Pet peeves

I dont complain that often, its just not my style. But sometimes I just have to get whats bothering me off my chest! Maybe today is a good chance to talk about my pet peeves. Today, Ill invent a little bit, I hope you dont mind. Do you have any pet peeves? You know those things you often complain about, those things that dont seem to go away, or those things that bug you over and over again. Like, people who talk on their cell phones at the movies--that really irritates me! Or, people who dont use their turn signals when they make a turn or change lings--what are they thinking! Or, you know what aggravates me? People who wear sunglasses in the subway--whats up with that? Or, people who dont wash their hands after they go to the bathroom--come on, guys! Or, litter bugs, just put your trash into trash can--how hard could that be?

Talk about it:

Do you have things that frequently bother you? Are there any pet peeves you can mention to your friends? What is a pet peeve? How do you react when someone bothers you? Do you complain a lot? Do you complain about big things or little things? What are some small things that bother you? How do you deal with your pet peeves? Do litter bugs bother you? What bothers you when people are driving?

时尚口语: Red

When learning English, a good memory will help you, but a good imagination may help you even more. For example, in English we don’t have many words for colors, but we have many ways to describe a color.

We say red like a cherry, or red like blood, or red like someone’s lips. But red is red. What comes to mind when you think of red? I think of different things like delicious red apples, expensive red sports cars, sparkling red rubies, or red roses. I also think of different images, ooh, a company that is not doing well, it’s in the red; or special ‘red-carpet’ treatment you might give a VIP. A person with a bad sunburn is as red as a lobster. A person who is angry is red in the face.

Word association exercises can help you with English. So, I hope you’re in the mood to exercise.

Talk about it:

When you hear the word “red”, what comes to your mind? What is your favorite color? How does the color red make you feel? What is something that is like red? Did you ever play word association games? Does having a good imagination help you learn the language? How can the good imagination be helpful? What method do you use to learn English?

时尚口语: smell

Wity my large nose, I have fairly keen sense of smell. It's a blessing, and also a curse,

Since my nose tends to be more sensitive than the average person's. There are advantages and disadvantages.

For example, I am usually the first one to know when something delicious is around, I'm also the first person to know when something smelly is around, like a baby with unchanged diaper.

In the summmer, it seems like there is more to smell in general. I love the smell of cut grass, it reminds me of one of my first part-time jobs. It makes me think of my childhood. I really like the smell of fresh bread and pastries. I also enjoy the scent of flowers and some perfumes.

But somethimes I detect some smells that aren't so good.

I don't like to smell perfumes what is really put on heavily. Have you worked around those kinds of people? I don't know why they spray so much perfume, but they do.

and its way too strong. It's hard to concentrate. I also hate the smell of cigarette. but I like the smell of barbecue.

Do you have any preferences?

Talk about it:

1)do you have a good sense of smell?

2)what smells do you like?

3)what smells do you dislike?

4)do certain smells ever remind you of something from the past?

时尚口语:“No” Is a Hard Word to Say

Have you heard the Elton John song ”Sorry Seems To be The Hardest Word”? It’s a nice song, but…well, I disagree. Sure, saying “sorry” is not easy. But the small, itsy-bitsy, two-letter word “No” is more difficult to say.

If you think about it, you’ll probably agree.

For clarity, I know that the word “no” is easy to say when someone offers you some coffee and you already have some. You might say? “no thanks. I have some.”

But what if someone asks you to come to a party they are having and you really do’t want to go. It’s not as easy to say “No… but thanks anyway.”

When you have to refuse or decline and you don’t want to hurt someone’s feeling, you want to say “no,” but you end up saying something else… or even saying, “YES” because it’s easier to say.

You decline politely by saying…

“I’d love to, but I don’t have time”

Or

“ I wish I could, but I have to meet someone.”

Or

“Is that song, Hae Kyo…oh my gosh..got to run!”

Just saying N-O “no” is tough.

TALK ABOUT IT

1 when you have to decline…when you want to say ”No” to someone, but you are afraid you might hurt that person’s feeling, what DO you say?

2 Do you have trouble saying, “No”?

3 When do you have trouble saying, “No”?

4 talk about a time when you wanted to say “No” but said “Yes” instead.

5 What are some good excuses to use when saying, “No”?

6 How often do you say, “No” to people?

7 Have you ever liked to someone to protect his feelings?

8 How would you feel if someone lied to you to protect your feelings?

9 Is it difficult for you to decline offers for help?

10 What do you think is the most appropriate thing to say when you are declining an offer?

时尚口语: hearing

Are you good at lip reading? It's not that easy, you should try it sometime. Turn off the volume of your television, and try to understand what is being said. If you are watching a slow drama, you can catch more of the dialogue. If you are watching the news, and people are speaking quickly, Gosh, it's tough enough listening to the news without volume up.

Trying to understand without hearing is almost impossible. But even if you are the world's best lip reader, if the person is not facing you, how can you understand what he is saying if you can't hear him?

Like most of our senses, I think we take our bility to hear for granted. I know I do.

the beautiful music we listen to everyday,

the verbal gratings we say,

the radio programs we hear everyday,

the movie soundtrack we love hearing.

Movies are so weak without the soundtracks, life without sound is bland.

Sure once in a while “silence is golden” as they say, but I think my life would be super tough and boring if the soundtrack were taken away.

Talk about it:

1)Are you good at lip reading?

2)when would lip reading be useful?

3)do you have good hearing?

4)what would life without sound be like?

5)Do you like silence?

6)There is an old saying that “Children should be seen, not heard”, what do you think this means?

7)what would be the one thing you would miss the most if you lost the ability to hear?

8)what measures do you take to protect your hearing?

9)there are some situations where it is very important to be silent.

Have you ever heard the expression “being there done that”?You say it to a friend when you want to let that person know that you've already experienced something. You often say when want to emphasize that experience wasn't so good, and you don't really want it again.

For example, your friend might say:“Hi, Issac, have you ever gone fishing on a boat on the ocean?”, I would then reply,“Being there done that”.I would explain that I have gone fishing on the ocean, and that I got really seasick. it's not something that I want to do it again any time soon.

Do you have any being there done that experiences?

Maybe a job interview, it's really intense.

A long road trip with your family, while you get stuck in traffic.

Or getting bitten by a lot of mosquitos, when you are on a camping trip.

These are somethings that I had before, I would not ever like to have again.

I have been there and done that.

Another day, another color. What comes to mind when you think of green? I think of different things like a cool green forest where I can walk with a friend, a green leaf of latus to wrap my food in, a green watermelon that I can share, a green frog croaking away. I also think of different images like a person who might be green with envy, who thinks that the grass is always greener on the other side; or an uncle, who has a green thurm, he has great growing plants, his garden is beautiful; or my boss giving me permission or a green light to go ahead with the project; or a new worker, who is green, he doesn't have any experiencing.

Talk about it:

When you hear the word green, what comes to your mind? How does the color green make you feel? What are some things that are green? Do you know any idioms that use the word green? What are some colors that are associated with emotions, like green with envy? Green is used to describe many things, what do you think it means when someone says they have a lot of green?

Every once in a while on a weekend, my family and I go to the local park, and shoot off some small fireworks. then we light some sparklers and run around until they burn out. It's nice to watch the kids run around with the sparklers. You know, it's actually kind of hard to see who is who in the dark. but I can tell because the height of sparks and the sound of the laughter.

时尚口语:Mom, the Toughest Job in the World

If you know me, you know that I always describe moms as our domestic engineers as having the toughest jobs in the world. They have so many hats to wear, so many balls to juggle, the cleaning, the cooking, the kids education, and on and on.

So the question is does it really have to be the toughest jobs in the world, does it have to be that tough? I think that it can be easier. First of all, dads can help more There is no doubt about that. But you what, I think kids can help more, too. Moms do too much for their kids, they spoil their kids. I think they should be teaching their kids how to clean a little. Why should moms clean up after their kids, if their kids are old enough to do themselves? It does make sense to me. Sure, kids need to study, but they need to clean up after themselves. Spoiling a kid is not going to make the toughest job in the world any easier. If you teach a kid how to clean you are teaching him a great skill, and how to take care of themselves, and how to be more responsible. A wise man once said, give a man a fish, feed him a day, teach a man how to fish, feed him for a lifetime. I agree. Now that I think about it, maybe it wasn’t the mom who came up with this phrase.

Talk about it.

What is your mom like? Do you think being a mom is the toughest job in the world? How do you help your mom every day? What can a dad do the help? What does “give a man a fish, feed him a day, teach a man how to fish, feed him a lifetime” mean to you? What are some other tough jobs? Why are they tough? Does your mom have her own free time? When was the last time she had a vacation, or a day just for your dad? Does your mom spoil you? What does your mother do that you can do yourselves, instead? How do you show appreciation to you mother for everything she does for you?

时尚口语:movie scenes

Yesterday, a friend of mine and I were talking about scenes of movies that we liked, that moved us, that stuck in our brains somehow. Do you know the kind that I am talking about--scenes that are really powerful, and easy to recall, because they really impressed you somehow?

Let me give you some examples. Did you ever see the movie “the killing fields”? well, there is a scene in the movie where the two men were finally reunited after a long long separation, and John Lennon's song “imagine” is playing in the background, that was really moving.

In the movie “Forrest Gump”, there is scene where Tom Hanks was so happy and relieved and at the same time amazed that his little son was so wonderful and healthy, that was a touching scene.

One of my favorite scenes in one of my favorite movies, a classic, “It's a wonderful life”, is when the main character realized that he is not dead, and that he has friends and family, and they love him, that's the most important thing in life. What a powerful scene.

Is there a scene from a movie, not just a phrase like “show me the money” or “I'll be back”, but a scene that you remember, that moved you somehow.

Is there a scene that you consider one of your favorite? Perhaps there is a scene from another place, a book, a television show, even from your real life, that you don't want to lose.

Talk about it:

1)Can you remember a moving scene from a movie? What was it about?

2)Can you decribe how you felt when you saw it?

3)Are you an emotional person?

4)Do you often let your emotion show?

5)How do you usually express your emotions?

6)What do you get setimental about?

7)Do you often cry when wathing a movie or reading a book?

8)What's your favorite scene from any movie?

9)Why was it memorbal for you?

时尚口语:Black and White

All colors are special, but there are something about black and white. And I am talking about the combination here that has real power.

Black and white make people focus, they say that most people dream in black and white, I wonder why that is. My theory is that the details of the dream, for example, what color someone’s socks are, while those details are not as important as the meaning of the dream, but I am no expert.

But back to “black and white”, do you like black and white photography? I started to get into black and white photography when I was in the eighth grade. I would spend hours in the darkroom developing pictures that I shot, so I fell in love with black and white before high school.

I can go on and on about white or black by themselves, but the combination of the two, whether in newspapers, films, or United States police cars, well, it seems like the inpidual colors become more powerful when used together. I guess that is the truth of all colors. Colors have their own meanings when they are alone, but put them together and their meanings might change completely.

Talk about it:

What comes to your mind when you hear black or white or the powerful combination “black and white”? What are some things that are black and white? Do you know any idioms that use the word “black and white”? What do you think of black and white photographs? Do you prefer them or color photographs? Have you ever watched a black and white movie or TV program? Some people are said to be color-blind, what do you think this means? How would it affect you if you suddenly lost the ability to see colors? What are some color combinations that you like?

It's almost time for the big Chusoek or thanks giving holiday. Many years, this is a five-day holiday, and most people get at least four days off, that's awesome.

So,what are you going to do? the same old staff, drive, cook, eat, and watch television? laugh with family members you haven't seen in a while?I'm sure that you'll have a great time.

You know, when I think of giving thanks for all that I have, my family, my health, the warm roof over my head, I think, wow, I sure have a lot to be grateful for. Sometimes I don't stop and think about what I have, sometimes I take those people and things for granted.

As we near the time of a long holiday, I guess I just want to say “thank you” from the bottom of my heart, to all the people who are important in my life.

I think my lucky stars everyday for everything that I have. I'm sure that most of you feel the same way too.

When I was a younger, I used to dream about becoming a fireman. I thought wow~ Wouldn't it be great to ride around, and help people and put out fires. As I got older, I want to be like my father. In many ways, I feel that I'm living my dream, I am luck.

Sometimes the dreams we've when we're younger, well, life may push it in anoher dirction. And at last we actively pursue our dreams we have to adjust. After all, your dream won't often pursue you, you have to cherish your dream and make it come ture. Perheps compromising a little is good, perheps it matters to try different somethings. We have to go through that prosesive limitations. For example, I tryed to be a salesman, and I tryed to be an invent manager. Finally I found the place I can grow is help others.

Everyone has a dream, the question is can you make yours reality! Talk about it, are you living your dream? Did you commise a longer way? Do you have a dream to do something? What is it? 篇10:时尚女孩最爱说的口语

时尚女孩最爱说的10句口语

1. Yoba! 对啊。

这是她们创造出来的语言,也是我最常听她们说的单字之一,基本上呢, Yoba 就是 Yes 的意思,比如她们会说, “Do you like to go swimming with us?” 我就可以回常,“Yoba!” 但是这不是正式的英文,纯粹是好玩下的产物。

2. Bam chi ga bon-bon.

那我总不能明问,“Do you have sex last night?” 所以这种情况下,我就可以开玩笑地问他说 “Bam chi ga bon-bon?” 这句话也可以当形容词或名词用,例如,“I have a girlfriend for 2 years, but no Bam chi ga bon bon at all.” 意思就是交了女朋友二年,却什么事都没发生过。

另外有一个词 hanky-panky 跟 Bam chi ga bon-bon 很像, 同样是指一些暧昧的事, 例如: “There's something hanky-panky going on in the restroom.”

3. Damn-it boy 该死的男孩。

这群女孩子有一堆话来称呼男孩。例如,“Damn-it boy.”

4. He is not my type. 他不是我心目中的类型。

俗话说一个女孩子想男孩子,二个女孩子谈男孩子,三个女孩子骂男孩子。当二个女人聚在一起总是会对周遭的男生品头论足啦,“He is not my type.” 是常用的一个句子,就相当于他跟我不适合啦。他不是我想要的那个类型。

5. He is a muscle man. 他是个有肌肉的男人。

有些美国女孩子很欣赏那些肌肉很多的男人,她们称之为 muscular type. 或是可以说 a muscle man, 或是 “He is beefy.” 关于这点,我就曾经犯了一个错误,因为我跟一个老美说,“I have no muscle.” 结果人家当然是有听没有懂啦…其实应该要说 “I am not a muscle man.” 才对。

另外有一个说法叫 semi-muscular. Semi-muscular 就是有点肌肉又不会太多,比如我可以说 I am semi-muscular with 6-pack ab“. 6-pack ab 意谓著 ”six piece of muscle on the abdomen“ 就是有六块腹肌的意思,也可以说成 washboard ab. 像洗衣板一样的腹肌。

6. I saw a girl throw herself on him. 我看到有一个女孩对他投怀送抱。

我觉的这个throw herself on him 用的真是好啊…这就是指女生作小鸟依人状,把整个人靠在男生身上。有一次我听她们之间在谈我的室友就说了这么一句,”I saw her throw herself on him.“ 看来我室友也真是艳福不浅啊!另外一句很类,”That girl drapes herself all over him.“ 也是指整个人就趴在他身上。

7. You can go commando.

Don't worry, you can go commando tomorrow.\" 结果一夥人都笑翻了。Go commando 原来的意思是出危险的任务,或许是因为不穿内裤感觉上好像是在冒险,所以就叫 go commando。
