我们知道,爱迪生一生共有一千多件发明创造,有些发明创造已经得到惊人的成功。他本人也是享有盛名的。但是,他从不沉醉于自己的发明,他无时无刻不在向科学的新领域攀登,同时也无时无刻不在对自己的`发明创造持否定态度,而不停顿地加以改进。他自己说:“我是永不会满足的。”无休止的钻研,不停顿的改进,这正是爱迪生又一个突出特点。他发明的蓄电池成功后,他便办了一个蓄电池工厂并大批生产,销路一直很好。可是过了一个时期,他发现电池有毛病,一时又找不到原因,他就决心要改进电池。但是,改进需要时间,需要精力,同时工厂也要停业,这不仅可能降低他发明电池的威信,经济上也将蒙受很大损失。然而他决然命令工厂即刻闭门停业。有许多使用他的电池比较满意的人要求继续增加定货,他却一概不受;有人在经济上给他施加压力,他也毫不畏惧。结果,经他用心改进的电池获得比预料还好的成功,很快畅销各地。他的这种精神,同当时“金玉其外,败絮其中”,掩饰劣货的商贾,形成鲜明的对照。不能不博得人们的尊敬与赞扬。

在他的发明创造中,能够引起当时社会震惊的,莫过于留声机了。这也是他的得意发明物。他是耳聋的人,能发明这样一个发声的机器已是令人惊骇了。但是,爱迪生在发明它之初,就一改再改。十年过后,他又从架子上的尘埃中把留声机取下来,决然要改进它。他实实在在地连续工作了五天五夜之久,才获得了成功。还有这样的数字完全可以证明他的钻研精神的:他仅在留声机上的发明专利权就超过一百件。当我们看到今天的留声机的时候,不要忘记这上头渗透着爱迪生无数辛勤劳动的血汗。如果没有一种无休止的钻研精神是绝难做到的。

爱迪生的故事:吃兔子

有一天,爱迪生接待了一位来访者,这位来访者一定要爱迪生介绍一下不倦工作的“秘诀”。爱迪生觉得好笑,因为他不倦工作本来是没有什么秘诀的,便顺口说了一句笑话,告诉那位来访者说:“每天早上吃一只兔子或许能行。”那人信以为真,起身告辞,回去后果然照此办理。可是,六个星期以后,这个人已经累得大病一场,起不来床了。

他不讲究修饰,常穿着破旧的被化学药物染污了的衣服,他这种习惯到老年时尤甚。平常人都以为他是伙夫,报纸也常刊载讽刺他的文章。这恰好证明他把全部心血和精力都倾注在科学研究上了。一八七二年他在研究自动电报机时,由于试验入迷,思想高度集中,有一次他需要到外边办一件急事。可是当人家询问他的名字时,他竟好一阵想不起来。

爱迪生在科学研究的道路上,步履坚实,用心维艰,的确花费了巨大的体力与心力。

在他七十七岁生辰的时候,有人问他的人生哲学是什么?他回答说;“做工!揭破自然的秘密,并使它为人类眼务。”这是他从事科学研究的真正动力,不过,这并不是“秘诀”。

篇8:爱迪生的故事

12岁那年,为了减轻家里的负担,爱迪生开始在一趟列车上做报童。他每天凌晨早早登车,常常是晚上8、9点钟方回到家里,尽管累了一天,他还不肯休息,在实验室里一呆就是半夜。后来,他觉得卖完报的空余时间浪费掉了实在可惜,正巧列车上有一间吸烟室未被利用,经车长同意,爱迪生就把自己的实验室搬到了列车上,利用一切闲暇来做实验。在列车上做报童的日子里,他还学会了使用印字机,自己创办了一份独具特色的报纸。然而,这样的日子没有坚持多久,不幸的事情终于发生了,在一次行车中,由于列车震动过大,一瓶白磷摔在地上自燃起来,多亏及时扑救才没有发生大的损失,气急败坏的车长狠狠地抽了他一耳光,并把他的所有物品扔下了列车。

因为这一耳光,爱迪生的一只耳朵丧失了听力。然而列车长可以打聋爱迪生的耳朵,却永远不可能让爱迪生真正趴下。爱迪生的一生中碰到过无数的困难和挫折,每一次他都坚强地挺了过来。

在不懈的努力下,1869年,爱迪生的第一个发明――自动数票机问世了,他欣喜的把机器抱到了国会,遭到的却是无情的拒绝,资本主义制度下,选票上玩花招是必然的,他们不需要清醒的机器。

爱迪生的第一个发明就这么破产了,没有花费时间去悲伤,他很快把精力投入了下一项发明。从1869年到19,短短的41年间爱迪生共申请得1325项发明专利,平均每10多天就有一项,在世界上是绝无仅有的。

篇9:爱迪生的故事

在所有的发明中,电灯当属爱迪生对人类最大的贡献,这也是耗费他精力最多的一项发明。为了找到理想的灯丝,他先后试验了1600多种耐热材料和6000多种植物纤维,共失败了8000多次。助手丧失了信心,家人也劝他放弃,他没有摇头,他不断鼓励着他们,努力尝试着任何有可能的材料,连朋友的红胡子和中国的扇子都曾为他的试验品,最后他终于获得了胜利。1931年10月21日,即他的葬礼举行的日子,全美国所有的电灯都同时熄灭一分钟,以此来纪念我们这位伟大的发明家,来纪念他这一重大发明。

在爱迪生的身上具备着人类的许多美德,勤奋无疑是这些美德中最显著的一条。在他还是一个少年的时候,读的书已比他自己还高。成年以后,他的大部分时间都是在实验室中度过的。每天只睡4、5个小时,常常是太累了就在实验室里枕着书睡一会儿,睡醒后接着工作。在爱迪生心中,实验室是他最好的休养场所,连新婚的日子都在实验室中度过了。

关于爱迪生退学的原因,大家都知道是因为爱迪生问“教师,为什么一加一是二?”教师说“爱迪生,你拿一支铅笔再加一只铅笔,不就变成两支铅笔了吗?” “可是教师,拿两只杯子里的水放到另一只杯子里,水就集中在一个杯子里了呀,一加一怎么会是二呢?”教师不知如何回答了。“教师,两块泥巴粘在一起就是一块,为什么一加一是二,也许一加一是一。”这时教师发火了:“真烦!你自己去想去吧。”于是教师又继续上课。爱迪生又举手了,“什么事,爱迪生?”教师强压住火气问。“教师,为什么会起风?”“教师,鸡蛋为什么会孵出小鸡?”教师说:“那是因为母鸡给鸡蛋加温了。”“教师,为什么给鸡蛋加温就能孵出小鸡?”爱迪生又问了许多为什么,什么“鱼为什么不会被淹死?”“天空为什么是蓝色的”。

等等的为什么让教师终于忍无可忍,将他狠狠地骂了他一顿:“真烦,混蛋,老老实实学你的算数!你是傻瓜吗?像你这样读书也是白读。爱迪生哭这回家了。妈妈听了儿子的诉说,拉着爱迪生的手到学校找到教师,质问了教师:你是不是说我儿子是傻瓜笨蛋,读书也是白读?教师无言以对。 “我明白了,儿子有我自己来教育,不用麻烦教师了,再见。”拉着儿子的手回家了,南希一边走一边想“恩格尔教师强迫孩子把教科书的完整地默记下来,儿子觉的反感,两人才陷入僵局的。我不强制他,我要和他一起享受思考的快乐。默记教科书的内容,见鬼去吧!默记教科书长大一点用都没有,活的教材不是遍地都是吗?”南希暗暗发誓:“要给儿子尝试绝不输给其他孩子的教育”。从此开始了对爱迪生的家庭教育。
