I‘d like to talk about a beautiful song called the Balloon from Jay Chou, one of the famous pop singers in China.

As a very typical pop song, the Balloon talks about a romantic story happens between a young couple who live in a city in France.

I remember that I listened to the song right after it was released in the summer of 2016. As a huge fan of the singer Jay Chou, I bought that newest album and downloaded it into my mobile without any hesitation. After listening to every single track in the album, I found the Balloon was absolutely the most impressive one with a fairly catchy melody and decent lyrics.

During that period of time, I often played the song at home or in the office, sometimes I even replayed it for the whole afternoon just because it seemed that everyone around me thought the lovely rhythm of the song would bring him or her a good mood. By the way, it could also remind me of the old, sweet days I had back in Australia.

However, recently I seldom listen to this song simply because Jay Chou has published some new hits in this January and they are of high quality as well.

As for the reason why I like the Balloon so much, I believe it’s mainly because it’s one of the best hits of Jay Chou in recent years and it proves that he’s still an excellent singer. You know, before the advent of the song, numerous people started to criticize him for not being as creative as he was. But I do believe he will actually come back with better works in the near future.

5月雅思口语话题精读配范文: a film you did not enjoy

You should say

what the film was

when you watched it

who you watched it with

And explain why you did not enjoy this film

Well, the first film came to my mind is that new version of Beauty and the Beast, you know, the one from last year, featuring Emma Watson as Belle.

I watched it in the cinema right after it was released in China, my friend Grace was with me. We went to the film because we are both big fans of Emma Watson, we adore her role as Hermione Granger in Harry Potter. Besides, I simply love the story of Beauty and Beast, I’vewatched the old Disney animated version for many times.

I was glad that there’s a new live-action film of the story, but the thing is, I don’t enjoy it that much. First of all, the early animated version gave me such a deep impression, I mean, you just don’t feel right about anything come after the original one. Secondly, to be specific, I don’t think Emma suit Belle after all. Emma’s personal characteristics are too strong, well-educated, independent, active for women’s rights and all. I feel the scriptwriters tried so hard to let Emma fit in the story, that consequently, everything seems a bit intentional and awkward. Like inventing a laundry instrument? I think they’ve gone too far. The small add-ups in the plot also made the pace slower. I mean this film really doesn’t have to be two hours long.

To be honest, there are good things of course, like the special effects and the singings, but still, Disney could’ve done much better than this.

5月雅思口语Part2话题精读配范文:a sport you want to try

You should say:

What it is

When you first watched the sport

What you like about the sport

And explain why you would like to try this sport

Talking about a sport that I want to try, Zumba springs to my mind. I remember, one day two years ago, when I walked around the sports centre, a piece of passionate Latin music caught my attention. I followed the music and came to the dance studio. Actually, that was the first time when I got to know Zumba and I immediately fell in love with it.

I enjoy it as the music is really my cup of tea. The up-tempo music would add more happiness to the exercises. In this case, I would forget about all worries in my life and live in the moment.

Without doubt, I would love to try this sport. Firstly, as a kind of aerobic exercise, it can strengthen all muscles of the body and burn calories. After long-term exercises, it could lower the risk of developing illness, such as heartdiseases, cancer. meanwhile, I would also lose my excess weight and keep in a good shape. Secondly, Zumba is a good way to relieve depression. I mean, once the music begins, I would be immersed in a happy atmosphere. Last but not least, I find it quite easy to learn even though I’ve never danced before. Frankly speaking, due to the simple movements, most people can keep up with the music.

Overall, I would love to learn Zumba in the future in order to build myself up and release pressure. I think we cannot escape from the reality that most of us may suffer from certain health problems and we need toplay sports rather than just watch them.

Well, this topic reminds me of the journey I had back in Amsterdam. It was about two years ago, and I went there with my friends by air.

We booked the tickets online from the Easy jet official site and spent our four impressive nights in Amsterdam. To be honest, it wasn’t the first time for me to be there but it was definitely not the same as the one I had.

There were six of us and the trip was full of laughter since the moment we started off, our school was one-hour train away from the airport so we had to take the train first before we get on our plane. We chatted and laughed on the train since we were too excited to calm down, coz you know, we just finished a series of bloody assignments plus presentations at school and put a full stop to the semester. By the time we finally on board, everyone was tired from the non-stop talking along the way so we just focused on our own stuff to kill the time on the plane.

We visited a couple of different tourist attractions in Amsterdam such as the Sex Museum, the Heineken Beer factory and of course, the Red Light District. Meanwhile, We took a great amount of photos and videos during the trip and were hoping to make a V-log after we get back to school but with no doubt, it never happens, I guess all of us were just too exhausted or maybe too lazy for this work.

Anyway, we have all our memories in our photo albums but most importantly in our minds, and it will never fades away. Especially the part we tried the magic mushroom in that shabby hotel room, which was really crazy, and I’m not planning to share it today.

Well, I suppose it’s always fun to travel with your besties and make cherished memory with each other, hopefully we could meet up soon and start our next adventure.

5月雅思口语Part2话题精读配范文:competition you want to take part in

You should say

What it is

When will it take

Where will it take

I’ve always wanted to sign up for the speed eating contest, you know, where contestants clash to eat as much as possible in a short period of time.

I first heard about this competition on TV, it was held in Japan, and a bunch of pretty girls were sitting at a table, pigging out on noodles. At first, the sight of it just made me full, you know, I was like, ‘That’s disguising. Why would someone eat like that?’ However, later, when I think about it, it could be pretty fun. I mean, I get to eat all those food for free, like donuts, apple pies, cup cakes, hamburgers, pizza, seafood and things like that. And best part is, I can fly around the world to all those interesting places to enter the competition, I heard this activity is super popular in America, it’s more like a tradition there. Plus, I think it’s pretty cool if I can set a new world record, although I know it’s highly unlikely. Another thing I like about this competition is that, I might meet quite a few interesting people. You know, some girls who take part in this kind of competition have super big stomach, but they barely put on any weight no matter how much they eat. I really want to meet them and find out their secrets.

clash = to come together and fight or compete in a contest

例如:The two sets of supporters clashed outside the stadium.

pig out on something = (informal) to eat too much food

例如:They pigged out on pizza.

unlikely = not likely to happen; not probable

例如:It's most (= very) unlikely that she'll arrive before seven.

The project seemed unlikely to succeed.

5月雅思口语Part2话题精读配范文:skills you learned in a math class

You should say:

What the skill was

How you learned it

Who taught you

And why it was useful to you

The useful skill I learned in a math class from my primary school is the multiplication form. This form is made up of results of multiplications between all the numbers from 1 to 9. For example, 2 multiply eight equals 16 and 3 multiply 7 equals 21. It is usually presented in the shape of stairs, and knowing it enables us to get the results of multiplications quickly.

This form is a compulsory content for all the pupils around China in their primary education. From Laokaoya. From day one, I spent a great deal of time familiarizing, learning and practicing it so that I will not forget it for my whole life. This article is from laokaoya website, do not copy or repost it.It has become my instinct and I can still speak out these numbers without thinking.

It was a middle-aged female teacher who taught me this form. At that time, I was quite numb and a slow learner. Even if it was a very simple question, I could get the result wrong. However, the teacher would not criticise me, but patiently explain again and again and guide me through the computing process. Finally, I caught up with my classmates and mastered this form.

It is very useful in life. When we are shopping, we often need to do some simple calculation so that the goods will not exceed our budget. from Laokaoya. Without a calculator at hand, I often resort to this multiplication form to get my numbers and it never goes wrong.

What is the first subject learned by children in China?

What methods can be applied to make math class more interesting?

Do you think everyone needs to learn math?

Mental Math Skills

The above calculations usually arise at times when, or places where, I do not wish to take the time to pull out a calculating device, or let the world know I cannot figure things out without help.

Descriptive and Predictive Statistics

Many news reports and advertisements use statistics, but seldom provide enough information for the viewer or reader to make their own evaluation of the data. A strong background in descriptive statistics helps you to understand how easily incomplete statistical information, or poorly designed polls, can mislead at election time, in advertisements, or in making organizational decisions. Recent research results on brain development also seem to lean towards describing our brain as a marvelous statistical engine that allows us to make reasonable inferences in situations that have a history of varied results.

Work Habits

Using scrap paper to do work on topics not yet mastered, and copying work over before handing it in. It is amazing how much can be learned from copying work over:

– checking for mistakes

– correcting post-mistake work efficiently

– finding a new way to approach a problem

– finding a better or more effective way to present your answer

Keeping course materials organized in a way that makes them easy to review regularly, and find material when needed. Organization skills and habits of mind can help improve both your efficiency and your results on most any task or assignment.

Communicating My Thought Process

Most math teachers will require their students to “show their work” in order to receive full credit. This is no different than an English teacher requiring a conclusion to be justified by preceding persuasive paragraphs. Writing an “essay” that consisted only of a concluding sentence, even if it is a very good conclusion, would not result in a passing grade. Neither will most work in math and science if all you do is show the result. We always, always need to either convince the reader that our result makes sense, and/or help the reader verify that we have not made any mistakes. In English, we use words to do so; in Math we use both words and the more concise notations developed in each Math course.

Problem Solving

The more challenging a task, the more creative the solution approaches need to be. Can a problem be made easier to understand by summarizing or doodling? Can it be broken down into smaller pieces that are easier to tackle? Can you start at the end and work backwards? Can you start somewhere in the middle, then work from there to both the beginning and the end? Can the task be described or illustrated in a different way, one that might bring completely different approaches to mind?

I work in a usually hectic environment and there are all kinds of distraction occurring around, noise the worst. Thank god, I am allowed to resort to music for some protection.

My daily workload is huge and need quite a long focus to finish. To make things worse, the whole work place is open-plan without the traditional cubicles or office that divide and insulate people. My ears are swarmed with all kinds of sound, and it can be taxing sometimes. So, like those college years, I chose to isolate myself into a personal zone, it feels like travelling back to the library cramming study for some exams.

The music is really a helpful tools in such situations. I can’t hear the constantly sniffing any more, the sound of biting or sipping is gone, even all the work talks or gossip talks fade away, totally shield by my beloved video game soundtracks. It never gets boring, and it continues to pulse. My best bits are recordings from StarCraft, of which I played insane amounts of as a teenager. It really keeps me up when carrying out a task. As I finally dig out, as this kind of music is designed to foster achievement and help players get to the next level, it activates a similar “in it to win it” mentality while working. At the same time, it’s not too disruptive to my concentration. It’s just there in the background, not too boring, not too soothing, not too upbeat, not too bleak. For a guy who started in eighth grade with StarCraft and War3, I feel a strong connection to those game soundtracks. Maybe the nostalgia adds to the effects of music when I work.

5月雅思口语话题精读配范文:a trip that you

You should say:

- Where do you want to go

- Who would you like to go with

- What would you do there

- And explain why you would like to go there

常用will 和 be going to代替所有未发生的事情。

I also participated in some drawing competitions back then. Until now I still draw in my free time, although not as often as I used to do.

2.Do you think art classes are necessary?

Yes, definitely. Learning arts, especially at a young age, can help stimulate children’s cognitive development and encourage them to think outside the box. Because they’re still little, their ideas are very fresh and lovely, which is worth appreciating.

4.What benefits can you get from painting as a hobby?

I think the mediation efficiency worth mentioning first. Colors in some ways reflect our thoughts and emotions very well and somehow stimulate our body to defense against our negativity inside. For me, in particular, I think what’s so interesting about painting is that you have no idea how harmonized colors can become until you actually try.

My main inspiration is Japanese manga. The drawing topic is extremely varied, however only manga seems to show great potency for my level. I have a big collection at home and as I sometimes go through it again, I can see how much I’ve improved.

7.Is it easy to learn how to draw?

I think I must say it’s even challenging for a lot of people. I absolutely failed when it comes to drawing still life paintings like fruit and flowers. I think for those who succeed in drawing or arts in general, they first must have God-gifted talent, then comes to the long-term commitment to arts that requires extreme practice and high patience.

8.Have you ever been to an art gallery?

I am not particularly an art fan. So, I have never visited any art gallery, although I do like watching the paintings made by my friends.

In an age of computer games, reality show and micro logs, I think there is no shortage of activities to keep us occupied. Yet the topic reminds me of a TV program that I often see. Happy Camp, an entertainment TV program broadcasting every Saturday evening, is produced by Hunan Broadcasting. It’s pretty popular among Chinese audience.

Happy Camp is hosted by the so-called Happy Family: Five funny hosts and hostesses. He Join one of the hosts, is also a singer, an actor and an Arabic teacher in Beijing Foreign Studies University. One hostess named Xie Na is very humorous, quirky, cute and girly, and is good at making the audience laugh. Du Haitao, a little heavy, IS a host upon whom the joke is played. Each episode features several popular celebrities as guest stars.

Sometimes even some celebrities from Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, or Taiwan are invited. They participate in interviews, performing, and games.

The program is so entertaining that I often burst into laughter at some scenes and I frequently recommend it to the others.

I am really attracted by the program and I’m unwilling to miss every episode because it makes me relaxed and laugh a 101. Now I am under constant pressure from my daily live and seeing such kind of program is a good way to help me relieve the pressure.

What type of programmes do you find funny on Television?

I am a true blue romantic when it comes to television. So, when others find jokes on particular things funny, I love it when two people in love fight. I find it really funny. The sweet love fights, I simply enjoy them. I remember, watching television serials like Kitanni Mohobbat Hai, Dill Mill Gaye, the kind of serials that were more like romcom. Apart from this, I love sarcastic comedy. The one in which the literal word said has nothing much to do but the meaning behind is amazing.

What types of programmes are most popular in your country?

Most of the people in my country have seen a shift from television to You tube and that is for sure. People now are much more interested in seeing the new web series by AIB or TVF than probably a new television series. But, for those who do watch television, there are different tastes. So, the young loves watching cricket or any other sport for that matter. Or some reality shows. People who have grown up a little bit, I think prefer drama. But, it happens vice versa as well. But, anything that makes them laugh or cry goes down well with my country men.

Do you like to make people laugh?

Yes, I do love to make people laugh. I think it is one of the most beautiful art to be able to make others laugh. For me, it is not always a planned thought process. May be my blatancy makes people laugh. Sometimes my responses to their problems make them laugh. But is is always good that even if you are not able to solve someone’s problem at least an attempt to make them feel lighter about it.

Do you think it is important for anyone to have a sense of humour?

I think definitely yes. Having a sense of humour, towards everything in life ,including yourself helps take things and life in a very beautiful perspective. It is only a person with a certain sense of humour who can deal with life in a more beautiful manner. Also, I believe, not only it helps in dealing with life it does makes life so much more better to live in than it actually is.

Do you think insult comedy is the right way of making others laugh?

Too an extent it is right. Sometimes people do take insult way too seriously than it should have been and people do insult in manners that really hurt. But, when it comes to small and not so serious insults, I think there is not much issue with it and there should neither be. However, with things getting serious and when people pin point on the same things or make only insultive comedy, I think that is when the problem begins.

Not so many, actually there is only one park in my small county along the river.

Yes, I go to the parks a lot, for example, when it is sunny in the daytime, I’d like to go running in the park to get exercises, or just take a walk there at night after dinner with my family to enjoy ourselves.

Yes, I’m really into parks. The main factor is that it’s quiet in the park in which I can unwind myself without any interruptions and also it’s a good chance to take exercises like jogging or just sit by the lake talking with friends, which can really bring people closer together.

Yes, I just remembered I went to the amusement park for one time, but didn’t have a good time there because I was too scared to play around. I was a timid boy then.

I believe there should be more parks in big cities because parks with plenty of trees and grass can function like lungs to human bodies. They can purify the air efficiently, provide sun shade to citizens and to some extent reduce the city noise.

Yes, I like parks because they’re great places to relax or go for a walk. I think every city needs some green space where people can escape from the crowds.

There’s a park very close to where I live, so I probably go there once or twice a week if the weather’s nice.

Parks are like an oasis where people get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. They are where people go to have lunch, to take some exercise, or to forget about work for a while.

The parks in big cities are already really good in my opinion. If I think about the famous parks in London, Paris or New York, I can’t imagine what I would do to improve them.
