【Creative artists should always be given the freedom to express their ideas. To what extent do you agree?】
On the contrary, sometimes these artists tend to be unscrupulous. They convert rumors into facts and present them before us. This might impair the reputation of some illustrious people in today's society. On such occasions, certain restrictions are understandable. Nevertheless, we all do know what is right or wrong. Rules and regulations not always are the solution to how artists present their own ideas. Hence it is wrong-headed to be impetuous and the government should enforce alternative ways to control the media. Respect for one's ideas is not only hypothetical, but must be practised. It is through respect that each one of us can be recognised as a unique person in the world. This can be achieved by looking at the bright side of what the media display for us. Not a day can go by when we don't look out for colorful dreams and a beautiful life when we can find either through music, poetry, films, pictures everything that the creative artists offer us.

【Fashion trends are difficult to follow these days and it is widely believed that they primarily exist just to sell clothes. Some people believe that we should not follow them and that we should dress in what we like. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?】
It is widely believed in today's world that the latest innovative fashion trends hold great significance. On the other hand, such trends are believed to be set only in the pursuit of profits for large designer companies. It seems that in recent times, people are now changing their minds in regards to wearing clothes for comfort and as a personal choice. Personally I agree that we should pay more attention to individuality and comfort in the way we dress. Firstly, fashion designs exist as a form of creative artistic expression of the designer. Although this may be true, undoubtedly such designs take away individuality once a trend is set in place. By this I mean that there is nothing unique about wearing what everybody else does. More specifically, if everyone wears the latest colour and design in summer skirts, do we not look the same?

【Some people think that international tourism brings more problems than benefits. What is your view?】
On the other hand, the benefits that international tourism can yield are truly overwhelming. Cultural communication between counties has been strengthened as tourists can learn about the local culture and spread their own culture by interacting with the local residents during their tips, which surely promotes mutual understanding and friendship. International tourism can be economically beneficial as well because it contributes to local people's incomes and the government revenue. Part of this money can then be used by the locals to protect the culture heritage such as ancient structures. In conclusion, it seems to mean that negative effects of international tourism can be reduced if the international tourists are better prepared for their overseas trips culturally.

【Some people think that education and training are more effective ways to deal with criminals than sending them to prison. To what extent do you agree or disagree?】
Regarding the treatment of criminals, two options may sound reasonable: jail terms and rehabilitation programmes. I believe rehabilitation programmes are more valuable. Although rehabilitation programmes often come at great costs to the public, imprisonment of criminals can be much more expensive. Its psychological costs are even higher if we consider the fact that it deprives criminals of their freedom, while rehabilitation provides offenders with self-respect. When it comes to the prevention of crimes, rehabilitation equips criminals with the ability to make a living, which will reduce their chance of committing a crime again. In fact, education and training not only offer criminals more career options, they may will lead to productive lives after the programme finishes. To some people, it may seem unfair that criminals receive tax-funded education and training. But it is not so unfair if we understand that it is in everybody's interest to reintroduce these people back into social life. For all these reasons, I think rehabilitation programmes are necessary. Through them, criminals not only acquire skills, but learn about the importance of socially acceptable behaviour as well.

【Humans should not use animals as sources of food and clothing. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this view?】
However, in terms of economic and social development, forbidding consumption of animal products altogether is not necessarily sound advice. Some species may become overpopulated without control, which can interfere with people's daily lives. Take kangaroos in Australia for example. In the 1990s, the overpopulation of kangaroos had seriously reduced the crop yield and caused traffic problems until the government allowed some people to hunt kangaroos for their meat. As a matter of fact, appropriate consumption of non-endangered species as sources of food and clothing would not damage the ecosystem. On the contrary, it can help to promote healthy interaction between humans and the wildlife. For example, a reasonable amount of daily intake of animal products can strengthen our immune system, which can protect us against contagious diseases. In summary, even though I agree that the hunting of endangered species should be banned, I would argue that the benefits of using non-endangered animals as sources of food and clothing are still significant.

【Humans should not use animals as sources of food and clothing. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this view?】
animal-right
blood-thirsty
In ancient times, there was no opposition to the exploitation of animals. But now many animal-right activists object to consumption of animals as sources of food and clothing. I would not go along with their viewpoint. It may be true that animal consumption poses threats to our lives. For instance, not only is the hunting of endangered species such as whaling blood-thirsty, it can also ruin the ecosystem. Since citizens are increasingly aware of the far-reaching impact of the extinction of endangered species, it is reasonable for the government to regulate the consumption of endangered species as food and clothing.

Every year, millions of animals undergo painful suffering or death as a result of scientific research into the effects of drugs, cosmetics and other chemical products. While most people think animal testing is necessary, others are upset by what they see as needless suffering. This essay will look at some of the positive and negative aspects of animal testing. Many medical treatments have been developed from experiments on animals. Since animal share many features with humans, scientists use animals to test the safety and effectiveness of newly developed drugs before testing on small groups of patients. Medical teams practice new operation techniques such as transplants on animals, too. Without animal testing, many new drugs would be extremely unsafe.

【Some people think that international tourism brings more problems than benefits. What is your view?】
International tourism has been booming since the end of the Cold War era. Yet more negative comments can be heard about it now. Complaints about this industry are mostly concerned with the ecological damage it may cause such as trash on the streets and in the parks. However, promotion of ecotourism seems to have made international tourists increasingly aware of irresponsible, eco-unfriendly acts (e.g. , littering) and have relieved the ecological side effects of international tourism effectively. As for the claim that tourism may result in travelers' disrespect for the local culture, I seriously question its legitimacy. As we all probably know, international travel is always a major investment that is, the money, time and energy spent during an overseas trip amount to very high costs. I doubt that many people would like to pay such high costs for traveling to a place whose culture they dislike or even despise.
Many individuals strongly oppose this attitude though, they think if tourists do not follow the local way of life they may make serious mistakes, which in turn may cause clashes between the guests and the hosts. For example, Asian tourists may make their waiters or waitresses very upset if they do not follow the age-old custom of tipping after they have meals in North American restaurants. As a matter of fact, if tourists follow the customs of the local people, they get the really experience and understand different cultures, which is probably the primary intended goal of most overseas trips. My own view is, over all, travelers should honor and cherish the cultural identity of their destinations while being expected to hold on to their own, which will make both the hosts and the guests feel respected and valued.
