Taking a panoromic view of human history, we can readily find that the natural environment plays an enormously important role in determing the future of each and every country. Towards such a long-running tug-of-war, I am inclined to argue that national governments should invest financial support in developing new energy sources.
Initially, spending more money in discovering new energy can radically solve the various environmental problems. As is common sense, the deteriorating environment is the result of the overexploitation of fossil fuels, including coal, oil and natural gas. To be specific, numerous chemical plants usually burn the coal to provide power for manufacturing all kinds of goods designed to satisfy the basic needs of the general public. As a result, a large amounts of industrial wastes are discharged to take a toll on the natural environment. Also, an increasing number of petrol-powered automobiles will definitely emit car exhause(e.g. fumes and toxic gas), which can increase the likelihood of the public suffering from respiratory diseases. All the above problems related to environment can be resolved by find new and clean energy like solar energy, wind power and tidal power. Undoubtedly, replacing the traditional energy with the new ones can dramatically decrease the pollution and contamination, thus leading to a better living environment. For example, once the cars uses the electricity instead of petrol, the air quality will improve to a large extent.
Secondly, there are conspicuous limitation of the other two options. As for preserving natural places, the effect of this practice is relatively restricted. To illustrate, the traditional energy sources are usually exploited and discovered in the natural places. Consequently, the preservation of natural places will hinder the access to various energy and thus impede the progress of the whole society. Also, the same logic applies to passing laws to reduce pollution. It is an indisputable fact that across the globe, many countries now are heaviely dependent on the industries and factories which produce pollutions. In other words, once the law of punishing these companies is enforced, these corporation may have to cut down their output and make less profits, even ending up going bankcrupt. Accordingly, the national economy and the living standard of the public will suffer too.
Factoring what has been discussed above, we can conclude that funding research of environmental friendly energy will be more preferable, because finding proper alternative energy is the key to solving the environmental problems comprehensively.

OG中对于满分答案的描述如下(Scoring Rubrics)：
A response at this level successfully selects the important information from the lecture and coherently and accurately presents this information in relation to the relevant information presented in the reading. The response is well organized and occasional language errors that are present do not result in inaccurate or imprecise presentation of content or connections.
大家会发现，这里面的关键词是information和organization，也就是信息量和逻辑，至于语言，并没有提出太多的要求，用词和造句“秋裤”一些没有关系。因此，只要听力和阅读的笔记记得较全，并且能够把听力中的观点和细节表达清楚就可以。需要注意的是，这部分对词数和时间都是有要求的，官方的建议(注意：是建议)是150-225词，我的建议是200-300词，时限是20分钟。关于summary的结构，一定是四段——introduction+3对detail，不需要conclusion。总体来说，这部分得高分的一定是把听力写得很清楚的同学，事实上听力才是考察的重点，阅读是用来帮助对听力进行理解的，同学们在写听力内容的时候切不可有“这个也要写啊，没必要吧”的想法。另外，阅读的内容在写summary的时候决不可照抄。

好了，下面我们来看看应该如何复习综合写作。首先，大家要对自己的阅读和听力能力有一个认识，首选的测试题就是ETS发布的TPO(toefl practice online)，大家不妨在复习初期拿来“裸测”一下。对自己的能力有大概认识之后，同学们一定要注意复习方法。很多同学认为自己阅读差就是因为不认识单词，所以拼命背单词;有些同学觉得自己听力差，就花大量时间练习听写。这些方法本身都对能力提高很有好处，但是大家一定要记住，实战才是锻炼能力的最好方式，所以还是希望大家多做全套的综合写作习题，考满分网上的TPO就有三十多套，就是很不错的选择。但是TPO有一个问题，没有很规范的范文作为参考，这就是为什么我在课上一定会讲解TPO，以帮助同学们破除误区，把准方向。另外，还有一本书值得推荐——《新托福考试专项进阶——高级写作》，这是我在自己上课的教材之一，里面的综合写作并不是TPO，但却是托福考试真题还原出来的，而且配有native speaker撰写的范文，具备不错的参考价值。这里推荐一个复习的方法，分成4个步骤：1、首先“裸做”题目，即三分钟阅读，听一遍lecture，然后20分钟写summary。写得不好没关系，接下来需要找出阅读和听力中的硬伤，所谓硬伤就是不认识的单词、不理解的词组、没看懂的句型和也认识也理解也能看懂但是听不出来的单词、词组和句型，统统摘抄到笔记本上;2、将阅读材料中的“硬伤”仔细记忆，再细细地读passage，完全读懂为止，如果没有读懂可以参看书后的翻译，接着练习记笔记，这里主要是练习笔头速度和缩写表达能力，尽量积累出定型的缩写表达以在考场上争取时间;3、将听力中的“硬伤”仔细记忆，再精听lecture，如果听不清可参看听力原文，然后练习记笔记，可多遍练习，放一遍记一遍，尽量详细而不复杂(信息量要大但是单词不要全拼符号不要复杂);4、再次仿真练习，读passage，听lecture，再写summary，然后对书后面的sample answer，一定做到不要遗漏听力中的关键信息。

3. 综合写作常考学科仍为考古和生物。
先来看看今年综合写作涉及到的学科主题：Brendan the navigator是否去过美洲、欧洲人到没到过澳洲、欧洲人到达北美大陆比我们所知的更早、Etruscan 人到底是不是从土耳其到意大利的、一种恐龙脖子是直立的还是水平的、两只白海豚是否同一只、控制the spread of weevils、植物晚上合其叶的原因、海龟保护措施的建议、owl parrots数量减少的原因、whales 的 beaching 假说，以及控制flatworn在欧洲的扩张。当然还有很多，不再一一列举，官方真的是太爱关于“谁去过哪儿”和各种动植物相关内容。因此，备考过程中相关学科词汇的学习尤为重要。
1. 政府职能及工作成功相关话题有增加;二选一和三选一类型增多。
相比去年考试而言，今年在话题方面涉及到了较难类型(政府和工作)，这类话题有相当多的同学在考场上才思泉涌，“为万世开太平”上价值仍然开不了挂，只因政府相关素材和话题表达积累太少;当然还有完全想不到从什么角度来写的情况，一路尬写到出考场都不知道自己写的是什么。题型方面，2选1考题较多，对于此类题型，不少同学会把一道“考雅思还是考托福”的题目写成“考托福”的单一话题，在内容方面较为偏题。
2. 综合写作现象题和方案题增加：
这两类考题对于一套模版走“四方(各大托福考场)”的同学来说无疑是一种挑战，如果用By contrast, in accordance with the professor, this view does not hold water because这样一套一成不变答题思路来写“听力指出阅读当中的假说不能解释现象，方案完全不能解决问题”这样的反驳方式，也太过于买家秀了。
3. 压分：
考过试拿到成绩单的同学，在成绩背面解读部分一定能看到写作评分表格，分明good对应的是24-30分。很多同学考完发现两篇文章双good也到不了24分，所以是否压分呢，同学们自有判断吧。
托福写作备考建议
1. 话题素材积累
好的文章离不开充实的内容，想要自己的文章充满论证细节而非言之无物、内容具体而非抽象难懂，离不开相关话题表达的积累。同时大家也可以通过学习范文，不仅能将好的语言表达收入囊中，也可以通过归纳文章思路，在切题、观点展开和连贯性的三个维度进行学习。
2. 重视历年机经
从近年的考题情况来看，多数考题仍是在重复历年机经题。建议大家在考前大量刷题写提纲;同时也推荐同学们关注考前机经预测，调整备考状态。

1. 一些空洞的单词或词组根本不能为句子带来任何相关的或重要的信息，完全可以被删掉。比如下面的句子：
When all things are considered, young adults of today live more satisfying lives than those of their parents, in my opinion.
这句话当中的“when all things are considered”和“in my opinion“都显得多余。完全可以去掉。改为：
Young adults of today live more satisfying lives than their parents.
2. 有些空洞和繁琐的表达方式可以进行替换，例如：
Due to the fact that our grandparents were under an obligation to help their parents, they did not have the options that young people have at this point in time.
“due to the fact that”就是一个很典型的繁琐的表达方式的例子，可以替换，简化为下面的表达方式：
Because our grandparents were obligated to help their parents, they did not have the options that young people have now.
建议二： 避免重复
1. 尽量避免重复使用同样的词汇。或者有的时候虽然词汇没有重复，但意思却有重复。这时候可以做一些简化的工作。例如下面这个例子：:
The farm my grandfather grew up on was large in size.
large 对一个farm来说就是size方面的large，所以in size可以去掉，改为：
The farm my grandfather grew up on was large.
更简洁的表达方式为：
My grandfather grew up on a large farm.
2. 有时一个词组可以用一个更简单的单词来替换，例如：
My grandfather has said over and over again that he had to work on his parents’ farm.
这里的over and over again就可以改为repeatedly，显得更为简洁：

建议三：选择最恰当的语法结构
选择合适的语法结构可以使句子意思的表达更为精确和简练。虽然语法的多样性也很重要，但选择最恰当的语法结构仍然是更为重要的考虑因素。
1. 一个句子的主语和谓语动词应该能够反映句子中的最重要的意思。例如：.
The situation that resulted in my grandfather’s not being able to study engineering was that his father needed help on the farm.
从意思上来分析，上面这句话需要表达的重要的概念是“grandfather’s not being able to study”，而在表达这个概念时，原句用的主语是situation，谓语动词是was，不能强调需要表达的重点概念，可以改为下面这句话：
My grandfather couldn’t study engineering because his father needed help on the farm.
2. 避免频繁使用“there be”结构，例如下面的句子：
There were 25 cows on the farm that my grandfather had to milk every day. It was hard work for my grandfather.
可以改为：My grandfather worked hard. He had to milk 25 cows on the farm every day.
更简洁的句式为：
My grandfather worked hard milking 25 cows daily.
3. 把从句改为短语或单词。例如：
Dairy cows were raised on the farm, which was located100 kilometers from the nearest university and was in an area that was remote.
简介的表达方式为：
The dairy farm was located in a remote area, 100 kilometers to the nearest university.
4. 仅在需要强调宾语而不是主语的时候，才使用被动语态。例如：
In the fall, not only did the cows have to be milked, but also the hay was mowed and stacked by my grandfather’s family.
本句不够简洁的原因是本句的重心应该是“忙碌的家庭-my grandfather’s family”，而使用了被动语态后，仿佛重心变成了cows和hay。下面的表达方式是主动语态，相对来说更简洁一些：

5. 用更为精确的一个动词来代替动词短语，例如下面这句话：

Finally, why I would like to meet Yao Ming is because he is a genuinely kind person. In spite of his fame and notoriety, in interviews you can see that he has remained a gracious and humble person. As an example of his kindness one must only look at his recent efforts in China to help raise money for SARS research. Therefore, I think that Yao Ming would be an excellent role model for all young people today, both in China and the rest of the world. 一.1个月托福写作备考攻略之综合写作
一个月备考期的话，综合写作部分的练习建议在模考软件中按照考试流程来进行，在规定的时间内读阅读、听听力、然后计时写作，写的过程中注意以下几点：
1.单词的拼写，边打字边检查;
2.三单的问题，也就是每句话的谓语要重点关注语态和时态;

Nowadays, merchants tend to strive for remaining in existence by all means due to the extensive competition and burdensome pressures. Apparently, I strongly object to it due to various factors that weigh heavily against the notion. Another subtle explanation for my point of view rests on the fact that various appalling results would in some cases, be caused by the immoral and even illegal businesses. It is decent to make profits and receive the repayment of diligent work and continuous efforts. Nevertheless, producing unqualified or even deleterious commodities, which possibly lead to detriments of people's health or security, is never the sensible method to operate a company. What impressed me most is the tragedy happened several months ago in some part of China. Hundreds of infants died because of the nonnutritive milk powders produced by some merchantmen without ethics. Therefore, it is never too rigid to denounce the immoral and irresponsible behavior. The third point I would like to mention is that the merchants themselves would not be reassured to enjoy the property acquired in improper ways.
In most cases, it is the essential satisfaction of benefiting the public, rather than the material items, which inspires people profoundly. What a pleasant thing it would be to receive repayment of your diligent work and continuous efforts! On the contrary, few people would go into rapture even if they possess a mass of wealth earned through indecent ways. Thus, only by obeying commercial disciplines could a businessman obtain supreme success and maximum pleasure.
Taking into all the reasons above into account, it is barely too arbitrary to conclude that only by descent and good Intentioned business activities could a company achieve respectable and decent success
